Liana's POV

Growing up, I'd always heard that all you needed to do was tell the universe what you didn't want, and she would made sure you never got it. All you had to do was be persistent. I always believed in it because it has worked a couple of times, but these days and especially now, I was being to doubt if that ever happened.

Maybe none of my so called wishes had been answered, and I simply just got lucky. Or maybe, whilst believing for a miracle, I subconsciously tricked myself into believing that nature had a hand in what had happened. Meanwhile it was either sheet luck, or something I'd done on my own will.

I wasn't overly superstitious, so I knew it was only a miracle that was going to get me out of this sticky situation I was in. What made it all the more worse, was the fact that deep down, I knew a miracle wouldn't solve my problem. Maybe it would temporarily, but I didn't want that.

I raised my eyes back to his face, and the silly expression he was wearing still ha

Kieran's POV Time seemed to slow to a halt as we all waited. I for one, couldn't wait to see and hear what the old lady had to say. She'd been incredibly quiet since all of this started, and the fact that she was willing to speak up now, didn't mean I was going to give her all the time in the world. If anything, all ot meant and proved was the fact that she knew more than she was letting on, right from the very beginning, but yet, she decided to keep quiet. My mind trailed back to the last couple of minutes. I glanced at Samantha's father again, and just by looking at him,I could already tell the amount of pain he was in. If his wife and daughter could keep quiet for so long, long enough for him to get beaten to a pulp and almost the point of death, I shuddered at what they would have done to Liana. If they had access to her that is.I shook my head slowly, willing the thoughts to disappear. My gaze landed on the woman in front of me, and the fact that she still hadn't said anythi

Kieran's POV I was drenched, but I didn't care one bit. Sweat clung to every part of my body, and while I always fussed at the smallest inconvenience, I didn't even mind this one. Heaven knows I would pick this over and over again if it meant I was going to be able to find Liana. I wasn't one to exaggerate, but I'd been searching for hours for her. I'd searched every nook and cranny I could think of, but she was still nowhere to be found. I'd even sent a number of guards around the pack, just to see if they could figure out where she was. But no matter where we all searched, we just couldn't find her. If I did drugs, then it would be pretty easy to say I was hallucinating or probably out of my senses. At one point, I was tempted to think that she had disappeared into thin air or off the surface of the earth even.I burst into the palace halls in a frenzy, and my eyes scanned the place frantically. There was still no sign of her. I knew very well that I looked nothing short of a

Chapter 100Kieran's POV If I'd thought that I had already experienced what it meant to be angry, then clearly I was very mistaken. I tried my level best to steer clear of the said emotion, and I would be lying if I said it hadn't saved me from a lot of things. Most times, whenever I got angry, I made sure to take it upon myself to calm down before I did anything stupid, but right now, I liked to think it was too late for me to apply that rule. Not only was I angry, in fact, I wasn't sure that yje word anger could be used to describe what I actually felt. I wouldn't even be surprised if I were to find out that the actual word for what I felt hadn't even been invented yet. Red clouded my vision, and no matter how many times I blinked back, nothinh seemed to be working to clear out out.Anger bubbled deep underneath by bones and the more I thought about it, the more furious I got. Never in a million years did I see myself in the position. I hated that my mind had picked this moment

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 98

Kieran's POV A small groan slid past my lips as I rolled to my side. I half expected a bed to come into view, but it didn't. All I felt was some hard surface digging into the corner of my back. I turned again, hoping it would stop, but all it did was send a sharp pain through my back and spine. What the hell was going on? Slowly, I peeled my eyes open, and the first thing I saw wasn't what I expected. My vision was hazy, and no matter how many times I blinked,it did nothing to clear out out. It didn't even help that a dull throb had formed at the back of my head, and it was throbbing real bad. Pain spread through my body, and it felt like my bones were literally on fire. With much difficulty, I struggled to sit up. My back came in contact with something cushion like and a small sigh slid past my lips. I blinked back again, and slowly but surely, the room started to come into place. Shapes and colors morphed and formed around me, and after a while, I realized I was in my study

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 96

Liana's POV I was quiet, and I hated it. Everyone who'd stayed around and with me for long definitely knew I liked to talk, and a lot too. It was never a dull moment when I was around. I didn't attend a lot of parties, but I was the literal life of the party. You could never be in the same space with me, and be bored. It was unheard of and while I praised myself on that fact, right now, I wasn't sure I felt that way anymore. I had been quiet since last night, and I knew for a fact that it wasn't normal. When I'd crept into Kieran's room early this morning, it was honestly because I'd missed him. I'd missed his touch over my skin and how sweet he was to me. I also wanted to see the look of surprise on his face and I guess I did, until that expression was cut off and replaced by another one. Shock, but this time, it had nothing to do with me or my presence. Perhaps if I had known what was underneath his pillow, I wouldn't have asked, neither would I have pulled it out. I would ha
