An Unconvincing Liar

It was finally my turn to have a date with Gael. To be honest, I had been trying my best to avoid a meeting with him. This was because I wasn't prepared to meet my mate. I had only seen him twice, and that was enough to know exactly what my life would be with him in it.

“Alpha, your guest has arrived, should I send him in?”

When I heard Gael had arrived, my heart skipped. I tried to control my feelings, but I was bad at concealing my feelings and, the worst of it all, I have never been in such a situation before, most especially with a man.

I took a deep breath with my eyes closed. When I opened my eyes, I released the breath I was holding.

“Send him in,” I ordered. I quickly walked over to the dining room where dinner was served with different wine collections. I can't tell what Gael's preference for wine is, so I made sure different brands were served for him to choose from. Taking one last look at the dinner, I nodded.
