Taken aback by her words, a dazed look of bewilderment crossed my face, my eyes darted around as if looking for answers.

"Kill the firstborn to become the firstborn?" I repeated, pinning my gaze on her for clarification.

A smile spread across her face, washing away my doubts, "Yes, darling. You mentioned that it was hereditary. Also, know that it can be transferred from one person to another if the person in possession of the power is dead. Since your half-sister is the firstborn, you can get rid of her, and when you do so, you become the firstborn and...boom! Your powers will begin to manifest. Your hair will be in a beautiful shade of strawberry," Her long thin hands ran through my caramel-coloured hair.

"Just like that?" A surprised look swept across my face, leaving my eyes widening with imagination.

"Yes, just like that," Her smile grew wider as she cupped my face in her hand.

Considering how gullible she was, killing her was an easy task.

I couldn't wait.
