Kael and I arrived at the same time. So when did he have such a conversation with his brother? Unless he texted him. I mean he was always on his phone throughout the journey.

But why would they even have a conversation about my murdering capability?

Before I can blink, the Lycan king lifts up my chin, staring into my eyes. My heart drops as my feet shake beneath me.

“Send her back!” He snarls, letting go of my chin. “And I want my money refunded or Grevor and I will wage war on Alpha Reynolds and his little pack!!” He glares at Kael.

“If that's what you truly want.” Kael says, bowing his head.

“I was told how to heal my wolf,” I cut in quickly.

I can't afford to go back to the east, not when I know that my father still blames me for my sister's death, not when I know that I'm still mated to George, the same man who killed my sister and framed me for it.
