Emily focused on controlling her breathing, taking deep breaths in and out, and repeating positive affirmations in her mind. She reminded herself that Davies was a harmless Beta and Lois's mate, and that she had nothing to fear. After a few moments, her body stopped shaking and she was able to look up at Lois with a weak smile.

"Excellent job, Emily. You did it," Lois praised, beaming at her. She then turned to Davies, who was standing by the door, and blew him an air kiss. "Can he come closer?" she asked Emily, who nodded in agreement.

Davies approached them, stopping beside Lois. "Hello, Emily. I'm Davies, Lois's mate," he introduced himself.

"It's nice to finally meet you. I'm here to escort you and Lois for your walk," Davies informed her.
