I stood outside by the woods looking at the tall trees and birds and wondering what it would be like to run around the woods in my wolf form. Raymond is coming towards me, I can feel it, I can feel things now, things I didn’t usually use to feel. It’s like all me sense organs had been dead all this while.

Ray stood just outside the clearing. The air was thick with an anxious energy, the kind that made my skin prick with anticipation. I could see the earnestness in his expression, but it was laced with a desperation that squeezed my heart. I knew the moment he took his first step towards me. I had goosebumps all over, it felt like I could read his every move, feel his every reaction.

“Come on, Allie,” he pleaded, his voice barely above a whisper.

“Just listen to me this once, please,” he urged me.
