DONOVAN'S POV

By the time I finally arrive home, it is already late. The guards salute me as I walk past the hallway and when I finally enter my room, I collapse on the bed with a tired feel.

I sigh as my mind refuses to stop pondering over my last conversation with Alexis. Even though she had not mentioned getting into a fuss with the so-called Ian before, I feel uneasy about the way she had spoken about him. It was as if speaking about him brought back memories she didn't want to think of.

I shut my eyes briefly and sigh again as I caution myself to stop overtinking things and jumping into conclusions. Who knows, maybe he is just a big bully of a brother and she is just fed up with his bad habits?
