Chapter 34

ALEXIS' POV

Mrs Theodora's class is the first for the day and one after the other, everyone of us in the class presents our project.

When it is my turn, I have shaky feets as I stand in front of the class to make my presentation. My eyes first meets Aurora who gives me a big thumbs up and then next to Donovan who offers me a small smile that I return and with a deep breathe, I assure myself that I can do this.

I will not be a laughing stock like I have always be.

After the presentation, Aurora gives me another thumbs up as I walk back to my seat.

"How was it?" I whisper to her as soon as my butt kiss the seats.

"You did amazing." She is all smiles as she tells me but I still don't believe her. She might just be trying to make me feel better because I am her friend.

Maybe I did the worse presentation for today. Perhaps everyone else is pointing at me from the back. Laughing at me. Inwardly, I start to wish for the grounds to open up and swallow me straight away.
