LORRAINE'S POV

I had no right to get angry but I was. Angry and betrayed.

That the one who professed to love me was in the arms of the one encouraging me to choose him. My best friend!

The ache in my heart was seizing my breath at a rapid rate as she scampered off him.

Hector got off his seat. While Chloe staggered, seemingly drunk, Hector seemed just fine to me. He held her firmly in his arms and walked towards me.

I didn't want to believe that he took advantage of her. She was such a lightweight and tended to do stupid things when she was drunk.

But that didn't make me less pissed.

I should have known since they most likely slept together already. This could be their second or possibly umpteenth time together. I wouldn't know.

It just hurt that she would do this right after she suggested that I be with him.

“Lorraine…” she slurred. “It's you.”

“Get her to bed. She's tired,” he said but my eyes dropped to the bulge in his pants.

“Were you taking advantage of her?” I demanded
