“Mother, why didn't you tell me Matilda was back?” Dominic asked the minute he got home. After school, he had looked for Selene everywhere, but couldn't find her. And just when he was about to walk out of the school gate and head to her place to explain things to her, Matilda pulled him away, so they could go get ice cream.

While they were taking the ice cream, his thoughts were elsewhere and when Matilda realized he wasn't paying attention to her, she got angry and asked him to take her home. She knew quite well that it was because of Selene, but heck was she going to leave her man for someone else.

Queen Bathsheba smiled. “She said she'd tell you herself. Oh, you've met her?” She asked.

“Yes.” He answered.

“How did you feel?” She asked excitedly.

“I felt shocked because I wasn't expecting her to come this soon.” He sighed.

“But she's here now and that's all that matters. Besides, her father said she'd be coming this week, so what's the shock about?” She chuckled and Dominic sigh
