Chapter 14

Hazel’s POV

"Hazel." A slithery voice called out to me.

" Come..." The voice repeated, speaking to my inner spirit, leaving me with no resistance than to walk forward.

Where am I going? I wanted to scream, but my mouth was taped shut. I was unable to stop walking. My legs had a mind of their own.

The more I struggled to stop, the faster I was pulled deeper into the woods. I felt a sense of familiarity in these woods like I had been here before. It was lightless and I could only make out the looming tress that blocked any form of illumination.

" I'm waiting for you, Hazel." The voice repeated louder this time.

" Somebody help me, I'm being carried away!" I screamed internally.

"Follow me, Hazel. I am your friend." The voice spoke, and chills broke out on my skin.

Suddenly a burst of light pierced through the thick woods, it almost blinded my eyes. My movement stopped.
