NOAH

“It's quite surprising and unlike you to have a mission go on for this long. What is wrong?” My father asked.

I arrived home last night to give myself a break and to have time to plan again before I return to the academy.

We are currently seated in his chambers, I had asked earlier in the morning for a moment with him which he scheduled for the evening.

“I’m certain Tyler has been updating you on what I’ve kept him updated on. It seems there’s more to this than we think and the more I dig, the more I uncover and I’m starting to think the school is the surface level and there’s a group called Dakads that I believe consists of Alpha of different pack, all who is loyal to Alpha Randolph that aid to everything that has been happening,” I explained.

“And what’s your take on it?” He asked.

“Alpha Randolph has a plan. I don’t exactly know what the plan is but my theory is, he is planning to raise an army, one that he would use to fight the part of the community that isn't for him. He’s trying to create Hybrids but has failed continually but for some reason I feel that the ones that we discovered are the ones that couldn’t possess both forms. I’m afraid he already has an army but they are not as many as he expects for now.”

“Hmmm.” My father hummed.

“I should have taken action five years ago when I could but I thought it was better to let peace reign but as it is right now, it seems my hesitation five years ago is enough to wreak havoc.”

“I looked into the school's yearly records and realized that all omegas admitted each year went missing without a trace. The school doesn’t have records of what happened but everyone inside doesn’t seem to know much. While the school claims to give our scholarship and cares for omegas, it’s all a ploy to invite them to the school, have them bullied by higher-status werewolves, and kick them out for invalid reasons so they can have them captured and used for the experiment.”

“On my first day at the school, I saved an omega who was about to be a victim of that experiment. That’s how I knew that the first place they are taken to isn’t the headquarters for their actions. It's more like an examination room,” I explained everything I have learnt so far concerning the alarming mutant situation.

“What have you gathered so far about this society called the Dakads?” My dad asked.

“I asked Tyler to look into them. I wasn’t able to get any information but they are all Alphas of different packs. I don’t know which pack though,” I answered.

I could have if Adriana didn’t piss me off. I never had her number saved on my phone but she kept calling ever since I left her place. She left text messages too but I didn’t reply to any because I meant what I said when I said I was going to cut her off and I never wanted anything to do with her again.

She was already getting on my nerves and I was tolerating her but she pushed it when she dared me and one thing I won’t ever allow is disrespect.

“You have done well. I never thought it would be as deep as this,” my father commented.

It was his little way of encouraging me every time and I appreciated it. My father was tough on me just as he was to everyone. I even felt most times he had higher expectations of me than he does for himself but he easily gets rid of those thoughts each time he commended me for my effort.

“So when will you be returning?” He asked.

“In ten days. I need time to replan before I go back there,” I answered.

“Alright son. Take your time,” he said.

“I will take my leave now.” I stood up on my feet, gave him a little bow, and walked out of his chambers.

I entered my room to see Tyler there on my he as if it was his room but I was surprised because that’s how he has always been. We grew up together and he was like a brother to me.

“How did it go?” He asked.

“It went well,” I replied.

“That’s good to hear and I’m glad you are back now. I have you to myself once again,” he said excitedly.

“Should I find a mate for you? You need to realize that we won’t get married,” I reminded him once again and he pretended to be hurt.

I chuckled at his antics.

“I know you won’t marry me not when Astrid is everywhere in your head and mind,” he retorted and upon the mention of Astrid, I couldn’t help but wonder how she was doing.

I couldn’t call or text her because I believe that my mission was first and only after I was done with it would I be able to tell her exactly how I felt about her and that she was my mate.

I thought I had it all figured out until she started and I started to stay away from her.

“You are thinking of her aren’t you?” Tyler's voice snapped me back to reality.

“I have no idea what it is that you are saying,” I denied.

He doesn’t seem convinced. “You could have made it easy for yourself if you listened to me. Confess to her that you are her mate, bring her here to start all over while you finish your task over there. That way you’ve been able to protect her and not be distracted over there too. I’m certain she likes you too.”

“You know what? Just shut up most of the time. It would do you more good than harm,” I sighed deeply.

As much as he annoys me when he speaks, he made a lot of sense but I couldn’t allow him to get to my head just yet.

“Let’s go horse riding!” Tyler suggested and I agreed because I’ve missed riding a horse.

ASTRID“I, Astrid, am a shameless thief and I deserve to die,” I uttered, feeling too embarrassed to say the words and tears streaming down my cheek once again because I knew that wasn’t what I was.“I cannot hear you. Speak up louder,” she urged.I took in a deep breath and exhaled again. “I, Astrid, am a shameless thief and I deserve to die,” I said, a little louder than normal. She burst into a fit of laughter feeling pleased by my words. “I want you to say it one more time but hold on, I’m coming,” she said. She walked out of the room and the second she left, I cried out loudly in pain. I wish I had never chosen to work for her. Because I needed the money, I didn’t care for what was to come and told myself that I would be able to handle it all. The money was all that concerned me and not my peace and now it had given me worse than I can imagine. I wish I could turn back the hands of time then I would never have taken her offer. That way I’d have spared myself all of this pain an

ASTRIDThe moon goddess hates me! I’m close to believing she doesn’t exist because she has been unfair to me in every way possible and doesn’t care for me. At this point, I do not want to believe I have survived because she cared for me. After all, I’ve faced too much for me to want to believe she exists. If she does exist then she has her favourite people and the strong ones were her favorites. She chose those to bless and the ones she didn’t bless, and left them to fend for themselves. I was certain that I didn’t see the gold jewelry when I cleaned Adriana’s room but somehow it was found amongst my belongings and I didn’t know how else to explain that I didn’t bring it here because she already found it in my room.“Are you still going to deny it? How can you? You stole from me! How dare you bitch!” Adriana approached me with anger, it didn’t take long before her palm found my face and I could barely hear anything for a nanosecond and felt the aftermath of the slap. “I took pity o

ASTRID“Astrid!” I heard Adriana call my name for the second time.I continued to run towards her room because I didn’t want any problem and she had warned me that if she had to call for me three times then she’d have my money deducted.I managed to reach her room in time just before she called my name for the third time.“You should be glad that I didn’t call your name for the third time or you’d have seen my wrath,” she said.I tried to catch my breath because I had been running towards her room before replying to her. “Why did you call me?”“I called you because I cannot find my gold jewelry. It's a gift from my dad for my nineteenth birthday and I can’t find it anywhere,” she informed me.“I didn’t see it while cleaning your room,” I replied and that was the truth. She scoffed. “Are you trying to fool me? I kept it on my dressing table before I left for you to clean my room so how come you didn’t see it? Are you calling me a liar or a dumb bitch?” I shook my head. “That’s not it

NOAHAdriana has gone mad. I never would have thought that I would meet Astrid over at her place. I was surprised to see her working for Adriana. The only reason I had lied about my pull-out game was because I didn’t want to sleep with her but she was refusing to get the hint. The reason I came over to her place is because the members of the group Dakads were coming over and she said I could eavesdrop on the conversation if I wanted but I should have known she gave nothing for free. When I first saw Astrid, my heart palpitated and I couldn’t bring myself to look at her for long without feeling guilty. I felt like I had cheated and hurt her in so many ways and I didn’t deserve her forgiveness.I knew exactly what Adriana and I heard the knock on the door but she wanted to have her way as if she knew that I had feelings for Astrid and to prove her wrong, I gave in to kissing her. I couldn’t bring my face up to see Astrid when she entered the room meeting us in that position. “You don

ASTRID“I have a guest coming over later today. I’m hosting a mini party and I want you to make sure that everything is set in place before their arrival, is that clear?” Adriana informed me.“Yes ma,” I answered.Yes, you got it. I accepted the job offer because it would assist me in my savings and she didn’t argue when I told her the amount that I wanted to be paid to work for her for a week. It was three times the amount I would have gotten paid over at the place I chose to work.I knew that it was weird of me to take the job from someone who didn’t like me and was my enemy but one week of suffering wouldn’t be the end of the world and I didn’t mind it. I knew that she would make it hard for me but I didn’t care. All that mattered to me was making money and graduating. I already had my priorities straight and wasn’t expecting anything anymore in high school because at the end of the day, I’d never fit in, at the school.“Don’t make any mistake darling and don’t give me a reason to
