Mira’s pov

“Oh. Yeah, let me take you back.”

He walked me back to the car as he opened the door and I walked in.

He then rounded the car, got in and we started our trip back.

The drive was peaceful and I enjoyed it and within minutes I was home.

“Thanks,” I said as he pulled by the gate. “It was… it was fun.”

“Anytime,” he said smiling. “Friends?”

I smiled back at him. “Friends.”

I got out of the car and walked to the gate. I turned around and waved. He waved back before driving off.

I stood at the gate for a few seconds, thinking about everything. The party. Kayden. Lucas.

Then, I entered.

I came in the front of the palace door, my body was aching from lack of sleep. I didn’t want to talk to anybody. I just wanted to get to my room, lock the door and sleep. My heels clicked on the floor softly as I made my way through.

Then I saw him.
