Chapter 83: Lightning

Evander’s POV

My eyes sweep the surroundings, the wind ruffling my dark hair. The cliff's edge looms, daring me to leap.

I estimate it to be nearly twenty storeys down. No human would survive the leap. But I am not a mere human. I am a wolf.

My regenerative system is miraculous, if you believe in miracles-- which I do not. I can be stabbed in the arm with a knife and heal within minutes without scarring.
