Kael’s POV

The morning sun streamed softly through the tall glass windows, golden light spilling across the wide room like a warm whisper. I shifted slightly in the giant bed, careful not to wake the sleeping woman beside me. My eyes found her immediately, Aria, my peace in the storm, my piece of estimable joy.

She lay on her side, her body curled toward mine, the blanket only half covering her bare skin. Her lashes rested gently against her cheeks, and in the morning glow, she looked like something out of a dream. Her hair spilled across the pillow in wild waves, and even in sleep, there was a kind of silent strength in the way she held herself.

She’d been through hell.

The loss of our pup… the heartbreak, the blood, the silence that followed it. The way she refused to cry in front of the others. The way she rose each day, holding her shoulders high for the sake of the pack even when I could hear her weeping softly into the night when she thought I was asleep.

Grief hadn’t made her

Gracie’s POVThe cold wind bit at my face as I tightened the blanket around my baby. He whimpered softly in my arms, his tiny body pressed close to mine for warmth.“Shh, it’s okay,” I whispered, kissing his forehead.I didn’t know if I was saying that for him or for myself. We were walking through the forest just beyond the borders of Aria’s pack, with nothing but the clothes on our backs and a small sack of food Aria had allowed us to take. Tavin walked ahead, his jaw clenched tight, while our mother followed silently behind me, her shoulders hunched from exhaustion. The silence between us felt louder than any scream.I kept glancing behind me, afraid we were being followed. Every crunch of leaves beneath my boots made my heart skip.We had no destination. No home. No plan. We’d been banished.Thrown out like trash..Because of Lucien. Because of lies. Because of betrayal. And now… I didn’t even know who I was anymore.“I didn’t mean for any of this,” I whispered to the baby, brushin

Kael’s POV“They dare come to our pack to spy on us?” I yelled angrily, pacing across the meeting room floor.Aria sat at the head of the table, her expression unreadable. But I knew her well enough to see the storm behind her calm.“They were sent by Lucien,” I growled. “Every single one of them. Planted right under our noses. How long have they been feeding him information?”She didn’t answer at first. Her fingers were clasped tightly together on the table. “I don’t know,” she said finally. “But Damian wouldn’t have confessed unless there was more going on. He said Lucien wanted to know our weak spots. That means he’s planning something.”“And he plans to use them to do it,” I spat, slamming my fist into the wall. The pack had given Gracie and her family safety. Shelter. Respect. And in return? Lies.Spying.Manipulation.Aria stood. “We have to send them out.”I looked at her, the weight of her words crashing into me.She met my eyes firmly. “Kael, we don’t have a choice.”“They ha

Alpha Lucien’s POVThe door to my office burst open.I didn’t look up at first, I knew that scent anywhere. Bloodline. Power. Shadow. My first son.Damian.“Father, I’m back,” he said, walking in without waiting for an invitation.I stood from the chair where I’d been reading old scrolls about ritual sites and walked over to him. My eyes narrowed. His cloak was dirty with travel dust, and his jaw was tense.“Damian,” I said slowly, “why didn’t you report to me sooner? You’ve been gone for days.”He met my gaze without flinching. “I just planned on telling you now.”I didn’t move.“Then you better start talking,” I said. “Where are they? Kael and Aria, where are they hiding?”He exhaled. “They’re not hiding, Father. They’re ruling.”“What?”I pretended as if I haven't gotten the information from my soldiers. He nodded. “They’ve taken over the North Region Pack.”A pause. The North Region Pack? The strongest territory in the entire werewolf land. That was no ordinary pack. That was leg

Aria’s POVKael led the way and I followed him closely. My boots echoed softly against the wooden floor as we made our way down the hall toward the pack’s council chamber. I thought my nerves couldn’t get worse after everything we’d been through, but they were.I kept my steps steady, though my hands were clenched at my sides. All I was expecting was to see Beta Keiran and demand an explanation, about his position that he was asking Kael to stepped down for him..But as Kael flung open the heavy doors to the chamber, I froze mid-step.Damian..He sat calmly in the center chair at the head of the room like he belonged there. Arms folded, gaze piercing.“You should have let us know it was you,” I said, stepping forward slowly.“It’s urgent,” he replied, voice steady.“What is it?” Kael asked, his voice sharp with suspicion.Damian didn’t look at him. His eyes were fixed on me.“Kael, can I talk to Alpha Aria alone?” he asked. My brows pulled together. Alone? Why?“Why?!” Kael snapped b

Gracie’s POV“Darren!” I said, my voice breaking with disbelief. He looked directly at me, but there was no recognition in his eyes. His stare was cold, empty. I felt the blood drain from my face.“Who is Darren?” he said flatly. My breath caught in my throat.I tried to sit up straighter in the hospital bed, my body still weak from the pain of the survival . Pain shot through me, but I ignored it. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. What did he just say?“What do you mean?” I whispered. “You’re Darren…”He didn’t blink. He didn’t flinch. “I think you have the wrong person.”No. No, this isn’t happening. My mother stood frozen near the foot of the bed. Tavin stepped forward, confusion etched across his face. The nurse who had been adjusting the IVs paused, glanced at all of us, and quickly stepped out of the room.“Gracie,” Tavin said slowly, placing a hand on my shoulder. “Are you sure this is him?”I nodded, my voice cracking. “Yes! Of course, I’m sure! This is Darren. The father
