Chapter 46: Car Ride

Natasha's POV

"Are we there yet?" I asked Valerian as I rested my back on the car seat.

A couple of hours had passed and I think I was starting to get sick of sitting in the car doing nothing.

I played games on my phone and busied myself with the views outside but I did it for too long that I eventually got bored and now I have nothing left to do.

"Almost," Valerian answered.

My face lit up a little. "Really?"

"Yeah. . ." he trailed off.

I creased my forehead in confusion. "You're not so sure?"

"Are you sure you want me to sprint this car?" Valerian asked which made the crease in my forehead grow wider.

Oh goodness. He really thinks I'm scared of car rides just because I was scared in the airplane earlier.

"I swear to you I'm not scared," I told him.

"Okay." Valerian nodded. "But even if I do so, we still have a few hours left."

I pursed my lips. "Really?"

He nodded once again.
