Agnes
Agnes was immediately surrounded by her new pack as she arrived on the mess hall. They were six girls– Sister Mary, Sister Jessa, Sister Lydia, Sister Elizabeth, Sister Lily, and Sister Emily. Agnes was the last one to join and that made them seven in total.
She was little known around the convent for being the little version of Mathilda– the right hand of the only trouble
FatmaMathilda was the pack leader and it meant she was the wolf. Hana was always the caring mother, like an orangutan. Agnes was the cub fox. Abigail was their deer. And Edith was the little pup. Fatma knew she was nothing, but a little scaredy hummingbird. But not anymore.
HanaBefore the neighboring rooster could annoyingly crow, Hana was already awakened. She did not need to wake that early anymore, but her body was used to it that even her softened bed could not prolong her rest. As she stood, even the little pup, Boy, who was curled like a yarn beside her, complained that it was too early to start the day. But she still continued on, and only gave the pet a pat.
Edith Edith had no memories other than the convent, but the farm. Not the farm where Hana was living now, but the far away farm where she fed herself by stealing young cabbages. To her mind, it was her first home and the farmer and his wife were her parents. And that they gave her away to the sisters.
GabrielSome of the knights were called for a conclave, and that included Gabriel. Gabriel was still in shock after what Mathilda did to him at the stairs of the service hall. His legs were still wobbly, making him slow as he took his every step to the prayer hall.
Gabriel said no. I watched him go to the opposite direction of my path. His back was arched unlike his usual unswerving posture and his breating was deep. Gabriel continued on until he became a blur of black in my eyes, and I did not stop him. “What is his problem?”
I watched Sir Felix like a hawk. I had no firm proof with my assumption about him. My words that I had seen him with two different sisters on different places, and that he was holding the other one vulgarly was not enough. What if that was just a coincidence? What if the sisters go against my words especially that they looked beguiled by him?
For the past days I had been watching Sir Felix closely. So far, he only had three preys that I had known of. The first one was Sister Ana. She was an obvious target for she was beautiful. She had an ivory skin that matched with her apple-like red lips. And what made her stand out more was the matured curves of her body that her habit could not hide.
We did not talk about Sir Felix and our plan against him while we were still in the mess hall. We could not risk it, for there were too many eyes and too many ears. “Is it okay if I join you?”
