Chap-23*Ailing Wounds*

“Get inside. I am not going to stand here and wait for you the whole night,” he said, still not giving me a choice to leave.

“I won’t bite,” He added but didn’t bother looking at me. I had no other option but to roll in. I managed to keep a distance between us, but since he was pretty busy on his cellphone, I felt like it wasn’t a bad idea to take a free ride home.

He was breathing louder than the car engine, and I wondered what he was watching on his cellphone to make him breathe so loud. But that was none of my business. I found the awkward silence better than talking to him or arguing with him.

He put the cell phone down, and that’s when I felt the heat rush to my cheeks.

“Matt!” he spoke to the driver. “Stop the car.” As soon as he said that, my heart sank in my chest. My posture started shaking as I wanted to turn to him and see the details of his face, but I was too scared to do that.
