Something isn’t right with Stella; she’s been different ever since we returned from the battle at Moon King Pack. Her scent has changed slightly. It could be from motherhood, but usually, that scent is a mingling of our family, father, mother, and son.

Just like Maze, Rush, and Lotty, they all have a distinct scent, but they’ve mingled altogether so you know they’re family.

“I’m sorry we can’t be of more use to you, Landon.” Alpha Charlie pats my shoulder. “Please let Alpha Rush and Luna Mazelina know we are here to support them in any way we can.”

I nod, “Thank you, Alpha Charlie.”

He laughs, “Just Charlie to you, old friend.”

I smile at Charlie. We’ve been close friends for many, many years and now he is old and grey, lines etched on his face, showing his true age. This is the problem with being immortal. You outlive the ones who are important to you.
