Chapter Twenty

"Thanks, babe." I rushed and jumped out of the car not waiting for his reply as soon as he pulled over at the hospital. I ran towards the reception and got the details of the emergency case immediately. It was a road accident and thankfully, not a serious one. There was no one at the hospital except for the nurses and some interns.

Fortunately, the patient wasn't badly injured, just a few stitches and slight swelling on his head. Once I took care of the old man by sewing his wounds and giving him some painkillers, I let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Hey, Andie. Who is supposed to fill in for today's shift?" I asked the nurse, signing the attendance sheet and she went through her records quickly before answering.

"Dr. Grace Cooper and since she wasn't available, you were notified, Dr. Wilson." She smiled and walked away.
