“I just met you and you already have an opinion on my attitude?” Starting with the breaks and chain were my first steps. Maddox’s eyes never left me as I worked.
“When someone looks like you, I tend to pay attention.”
Smirking, I couldn’t help but smile at him. “If that doesn’t scream playboy, I don’t know what does. Does that line work on girls?”
“Some.” Maddox gave me a half smile. “Maybe this time I mean it?”
“Maybe this time you will be disappointed for the first time. I have a feeling of rejection isn’t something you are used to.” Next, I moved on to checking the valves and carburetor.
“I didn’t realize I was hitting on you to be rejected.” Maddox stood up and moved closer to me. “If I was hitting on you, I would gently wrap my arms around your waist.” His hands moved just as he spoke them.
Gently wrapping around my waist as I moved to the other side of the bike. That was until his hand tightened just as I passed, pulling me against his chest. With my back against him, he whispered in my ear.
“Something like this would be considered flirting.”
I took a step away from him. “I thought you weren’t flirting?” I knew my cheeks were red. By the pleasure behind his eyes, I knew he knew he was affecting me. “Not every girl likes to be sweet talked and treated like a princess.”
The words were barely out of my mouth before his hand wrapped around my arm. Yanking me back, my back slammed into the wall. My bangs wrapped around my face as he pressed his hand against my neck.
“Do you like it rough, then?” He whispered in a husky voice.
Blowing the hair out of my face, I could see the desire in his eyes. My wolf was ready for the fight. “How about you wait for the girl to decide she wants you?” Lifting my knee, it connected with his balls.
“Fuck…” he groaned as he fell to his knees.
“Let me finish your bike.” Walking around, I only had a few things left to do. My breathing was heavy, as I did like the rough stuff. Everything in me wanted to give in to him. It was like it responded to him. However, I had no idea if he was my mate. Until then, he would have to keep his hands to himself.
“Oh TATE!!” My best friend and ride or die came walking in looking like a damn model. She was just as tall, but skinny and had blonde hair. She was everyone’s wet dream. “Sexy bike. Who is it?” She asked as she admired it.
“Mine.” Maddox’s voice was a little more strained, but he was back to his feet.
“Hmm.” She looked him up and down before looking back at me. “It’s a sexy bike.”
“Good thing there is a sexy girl standing beside it.”
Brett smiled at me. I knew that smile. She wanted him and was going to get it. Just as she took a step towards him, a sports car ripped into the parking lot and right up to the garage door.
“Yo, Mad!” Two guys got out of the car. One had a blonde man bun twisted on top of his head. His black muscle shirt showed off every striation of each muscle. The other man was just slightly taller, black buzzed hair with a five o’clock shadow that looked more like dirt than a beard. Still, his piercing blue eyes locked onto Brett and didn’t let go.
Maddox walked out and did some manly handshake, or whatever they think that is. “What’s up?” Maddox asked as they walked over to me.
“Just seeing how things were coming along. Some girls asked if we wanted to go out tonight.” The blonde, prettypretty much ignored us.
“Interesting.” Maddox walked up to us. “This Alpha Kyle’s daughter, Tatum. I guess this is her shop she owns and runs.”
Both boys straightened up instantly. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Blondy held out his hand, looking professional. Nothing like the guys that just walked up.
“That is my gamma Spencer and my beta, Steele.”
Nothing caring that my hands had grease on them, I accepted his hand. “You can relax. This is my friend, Brett and Beta Jame’s daughter.”
“Pleasure.” Steele took Brett’s hand and brought it up to his lips.
“Is all mine.” Brett melted as I shook my head. “You know, I think we were going to be going out tonight as well. Maybe we will run into you.”
“Usually I let fate run my life, but why don’t be chance it and I give you my number? That way, I can find you and the rest can be up to fate?” Steele ran a finger down Brett’s cheek.
Faking a gagging noise, Maddox smirked at me. “Don’t mind her. She thinks romance is dead.”
“I never said that. I just think pick up lines and one-night stands are for people with no morals and expectations in life.” Looking at them all, everyone laughed.
“Girl, we need to find you a man.” Brett laid her hand on my shoulder.
“I think she is manly enough if this is her shop.” Spencer had a slight smile to his lips.
“If I brought your man bun home to my dad, he would have it cut off within seconds and sent you to clean out the cells with the other rejects.”
Brett nodded. “Yeah, Alpha Kyle is…”
“A wonderful Alpha.” Maddox finished as we all had our own words dancing in our heads.
“We really need to head out. Here is my number.” Steele put it in her phone before giving her a quick peck on her cheek. “See you.” They waved as they left.
“I should get back and get ready. Don’t take too long.” Brett blew me a kiss and walked out.
Maddox took his seat back. “Then there were two.”
