I didn't sleep in my bed that night. After I called Amelia and told her to come in by morning, I went downstairs to my study. I sat in my chair and read through my script for a bit. When I felt sleepy, I returned to my room, but seeing Raven there still made my bed less appealing.

I left for a guest room and spent the night there, glad that I got quality beds for all the rooms in my house, else I would have woken up in pains that morning.

By morning, when I got down to the kitchen, Raven was already there, having breakfast.

"There you are." She said once she saw me. "I asked your maids if you went out already and none of them had an idea. Did you stay up reading your script again?"

That was the perfect excuse.

"Yeah, I didn't really feel like sleeping."
