I was feeling way better by the time I woke up; the cold was gone and only tiny beads of sweat remained... plus I wasn't aching anymore. Well, except for the spot on my arm where the wound was.

I sat up on the bed, a little surprised to see William sitting on an armchair close to the door, scrolling through his phone.

He noticed me when I sat up, looking away from his phone.

"You're awake." He said, getting off the armchair and coming over to meet me on the bed.

Hold up! Did he sit there the entire time I slept? To watch me and make sure I didn't fall on another dangerous thing?

The back of his palm felt my forehead.

"You're no longer burning up." He announced. "Are you in pain? Are you cold?"

I shook my head.

"No. I think the fever is gone."

"Hm, I think so too. But you might still have to be careful so it doesn't return."

"I know. It's my fault though, after that bully pushed me into the pool, I should have changed out of my wet clothes as soon as I got home, but I foolishly
