Zev sucked in his breath when he felt the pain rubbing on his skin. He never expected Layla to feed on him, not even once did he think she would. His body was slowly numbing on the pain which was good for him. It was one of his abilities to help him last in battles. Unfortunately, he could only keep fighting without winning. After all, the curse wouldn’t allow him to kill anything nor anyone he despised.

He put his weight on the lady as he pinned her down and she didn’t try to argue. Zev glared to intimidate Layla, but the latter was in a daze as she savored a piece of his flesh.
