LOGINMaya’s POV
The first thing I heard when I stepped into the office is his voice. “You are late.”
I looked at the clock on the wall. It said 8:55am. I was five minutes early. “I… I am sorry, sir,” I whispered. My voice shook.
He was sitting behind his huge desk. He looked up from some papers. His eyes were dark. They moved over my body. I wore a simple blue dress today. It was not too short.
A small smile touched his lips. “It does not matter. Close the door.”
I turned and pushed the heavy door shut. It clicked. The room became very quiet. “Come here, Maya,” he said.
I walked to the front of his desk. My shoes were quiet on the big rug. I stopped. I held my hands together so they would not shake.
He stood up. He walked around the desk. He did not stop this time. He came right up to me. His body was so close. I could feel the heat from him. I looked down at his shiny shoes.
“Look at me,” he said.
I lifted my head. His eyes looked into mine. They were serious. A little hungry. My stomach did a flip.
“The first rule,” he said. His hand came up. He touched my chin with one finger. “You are never late. Even when you are early. You understand?”
I nodded. His finger felt hot. “Yes, sir.”
“Good.” His hand moved from my chin. It trailed down my neck. Over my collarbone. The touch was so light. It made my skin buzz. His fingers brushed the top of my dress. Over the thin fabric covering my chest.
I held my breath. My body felt tight. Awake.
“The second rule,” he whispered. He leaned closer. His mouth was near my ear. “You do what I say. Exactly what I say. When I say it.”
“I will,” I breathed out.
“Prove it,” he said. His voice was a low rumble. “Lift your dress for me.”
My heart beat so fast. I looked into his eyes. They were waiting. I reached down with trembling hands. I grabbed the hem of my blue dress. I slowly pulled it up. The fabric slid over my thighs. Over my hips. I kept pulling until the dress was bunched around my waist.
I stood there. My legs were bare. I wore simple white panties. The office air felt cool on my skin.
He looked down. His eyes moved over my legs. My stomach. He did not touch me. Just looked. It felt more intense than a touch.
“Very nice,” he murmured. “Now the panties. Take them off.”
My face felt hot. I hooked my thumbs into the sides of my panties. I pushed them down. They fell to my ankles. I stepped out of them. I left them on the floor. I was naked from the waist down. I felt so exposed. So open, but I liked it. A shiver ran through me.
“Turn around,” he said. “Bend over. Put your hands on my desk.”
I turned slowly. The big wooden desk was in front of me. I placed my palms flat on the cool, smooth surface. I bent forward at the waist. My dress fell over my back. The position made my heart race. I felt him step close behind me.
His hands settled on my hips. They were warm and heavy. He squeezed. “You are doing very well, Maya,” he said. One hand left my hip. I felt his fingers trail down. Over the curve of my bottom. Then lower.
He touched me there. Between my legs. His fingers slid through my folds. I was already wet. Slick for him. A soft sound escaped my lips.
“You are ready for me,” he said. It was not a question. He rubbed his fingers over my most sensitive spot. Slow circles. My knees trembled. Pleasure shot through my belly. Sharp and sweet. I pushed back against his hand. I wanted more.
I heard the sound of his zipper. The rustle of clothing. Then I felt him. The thick, hard press of him against my entrance. He was not inside yet. Just there. Teasing.
“Do you want this job, Maya?” he whispered. He pressed forward just a little. The head of his cock pushed into me. Just an inch. A gasp caught in my throat. It felt so big. So full.
“Yes,” I choked out. “Please. I want it.”
“Then take it,” he said.
He pushed forward in one slow, deep stroke. He filled me completely. A cry tore from my mouth. My hands slapped against the desk. The feeling was so much. Stretching. Filling. Owning. He held himself there, buried deep inside me. I felt every inch. I panted for air.
Then he moved. He pulled back almost all the way. Then he pushed back in. A slow, deep rhythm. Each thrust made my body shake. The desk creaked softly. My mind went blank. There was only this feeling. The slap of our bodies. The hot, hard slide of him inside me. The coil of pleasure tightening low in my stomach.
His hands gripped my hips hard. His thrusts became faster. Harder. He was pounding into me now. The sounds were loud in the quiet room. Skin on skin. My ragged breathing. His low grunts.
“You feel so good,” he growled. “So tight for me.”
His words made the heat inside me burn brighter. I was close. So close. The pressure was building. My whole body was tense. Waiting.
One of his hands snaked around my hip. His fingers found that sensitive spot again. He rubbed it in fast, tight circles as he thrust.
That was all it took.
The pleasure exploded. It crashed over me like a wave. My body clenched around him. White lights flashed behind my eyes. I cried out his name. “Mr. Havisham!” The sound was loud. Desperate.
He groaned. His thrusts became rough and uneven. Then he pushed deep and held there. I felt him pulse inside me. A hot rush filled me. He stayed like that for a long moment, both of us breathing hard.
Slowly, he pulled out. I felt empty. Weak. I stayed bent over the desk, trying to catch my breath.
He fixed his clothes. I heard his zipper. Then his hand patted my bottom. “Good girl. You can stand up.”
My legs were shaky. I straightened up. I pulled my dress down. It felt strange against my sensitive skin. I turned to face him. He looked perfect. Not a hair out of place. I felt messy. Used.
He walked back to his chair and sat down. He picked up a pen. “Your first task is on the tablet. The password is your new employee number. It is on the sticky note.”
I saw a small tablet on the corner of the desk. Next to it was a yellow note with numbers. I picked them up. My hands were still trembling.
“You may use the private bathroom to clean up,” he said, not looking up from his papers. “Then get to work. I have a meeting soon.”
I just stood there. His seed was trickling down my thigh. My body still hummed from what we did. And he was talking about work. About a meeting.
“Okay,” I whispered. I started to walk toward the door he pointed to.
“And Maya?” he said.
I stopped. I looked back.
“Do not forget rule three,” he said. His eyes met mine. They were hard. “This stays between us. Not a word to Chloe. Not a hint. Do you understand what would happen if you slip?”
I nodded fast. The fear was cold in my stomach. “I understand.”
“Good. Now go.”
I went into the fancy bathroom. I locked the door. I leaned against it. My body was screaming. My mind was a storm. I had just had sex with my best friend’s father. For a job. And I had liked it. I had loved it. The guilt was a sharp rock in my throat. But the memory of the pleasure was a warm pool in my belly.
I cleaned myself up with a warm cloth. I looked in the mirror. My cheeks were flushed. My lips were red. I looked… different.
I walked back into the office. He was gone. The room was empty. I sat at the small desk in the corner. I turned on the tablet. I typed in the numbers. The screen opened to a list of tasks. Boring things. Schedule a car. Order lunch. Answer emails.
I tried to focus. But my body was still awake. The place between my legs felt tender. Achy. Good. I shifted in the chair. The feeling made me think of him. Of his hands. His thrusts.
A heat spread through me again. I looked at the closed office door. I listened. Silence. He was at his meeting. I was alone.
The need was sudden and powerful. It pushed the guilt aside. I slid my hand under my dress. My fingers found my wetness. I was still so sensitive. I touched myself. A soft moan escaped my lips. I closed my eyes. I thought of him. His smell. His voice. The way he filled me.
“Mr. Havisham,” I whispered into the quiet room. My fingers moved faster. The pleasure built quickly. Too quickly. My breath came in short gasps. I was almost there…
The main office door clicked open.
My eyes flew open. My hand froze. I pulled it from under my dress. I sat up straight. My heart tried to jump out of my chest.
Footsteps. Then a familiar, cheerful voice called out.
“Dad? Are you in here? It was Chloe.
Maya’s POVFive years after the first doors opened, the Sarah Foundation stretched across seven cities. The original headquarters still stood at the center of everything, but new buildings carried the same quiet promise in every location. I walked the main courtyard as Executive Director, a title that still felt larger than the woman I once was. Hope, now six, ran ahead with her younger brother, Noah, who had arrived two years after her. Liam followed at an easy pace, hands in his pockets, watching them with the same steady attention he had given me through every hard season.Sarah met me near the front steps. She oversaw every survivor program across the network and still knew most of the families by name. “Three new intakes this morning,” she said. “All housed before noon. The Chicago center is at capacity again, so we’re opening the overflow wing next month.”I nodded. “Elena called from Washington. Her anti-corruption task force just closed another major case. She wants us to take
Maya’s POVThe anniversary celebration filled every corner of the foundation. Soft lights hung across the courtyard. Tables held simple food and stacks of program booklets. Survivors, staff, partners, and friends moved between conversations and quiet laughter. Children ran across the grass under the watch of counselors. The banner that read “One Year of Open Doors” moved gently in the evening air.I stood near the edge of the gathering with Hope in my arms. She had grown steady on her feet and now pointed at every bright color she saw. Liam stayed close beside me. Sarah moved through the crowd, greeting people by name. Chloe handled the welcome table with easy confidence. Elena spoke with a group of national partners. Damien kept a quiet watch from the side without looking tense.A woman I had never met before approached with careful steps. She looked about my age. Her hands held a folded paper.“Miss Maya?” she said. “I live in the building next door to the east wing. I watched this
Maya’s POVOne year later the Sarah Foundation filled an entire city block. The original headquarters still stood at the center, but two new wings had been added. Safe housing units lined the east side. Counseling offices and training rooms filled the west. A small playground sat in the courtyard where children of the families we helped could play while their parents met with staff.I walked through the main lobby with Hope on my hip. She was one year old now, steady on her feet when I set her down, and full of bright sounds. Liam met us near the front desk and kissed both of us.“The morning report looks good,” he said. “Twelve new intakes yesterday. All of them housed within four hours.”Sarah came from the second-floor offices with a tablet in her hands. “The national numbers are in. We have centers in fourteen states. Over three thousand families helped since the day we opened these doors.”Chloe waved from the intake counter. She wore the foundation badge with quiet pride. “Two m
Maya’s POVThe old house sat at the end of a quiet street lined with trees. The paint had peeled in places and the porch steps creaked under our feet. Sarah stood beside me with the key in her hand. Liam waited by the car with Hope asleep in her seat. The older children had stayed behind with Chloe so we could do this alone.Sarah unlocked the door. It opened with a soft push. Dust floated in the afternoon light that came through the windows. The living room looked smaller than I remembered. The same scuffed floorboards. The same spot near the fireplace where we used to sit on cold nights.“I have not been inside since the week after Mom died,” Sarah said.I stepped in behind her. “Neither have I. It feels like walking into a photograph.”We moved slowly through the rooms. The kitchen still held the old table with the uneven leg. Sarah ran her hand along the counter. I opened a cupboard and found a single chipped mug we both used to fight over. Upstairs the bedroom we once shared stil
Maya’s POVThe conference hall held hundreds of seats under bright lights. I stood backstage with Liam beside me and Hope asleep in a small carrier at our feet. Sarah adjusted the microphone one last time and gave me a steady look.“You ready?” she asked.“I am,” I answered. “This is why we built the foundation.”The organizer stepped onto the stage and introduced me. Applause rose as I walked out. I placed my notes on the podium but did not look at them. The faces in the crowd belonged to survivors, counselors, and people who ran small shelters across the country. I took a slow breath and began.“My name is Maya,” I said. “Years ago my sister disappeared inside a powerful family that hid its crimes behind money and silence. I searched for her. I made mistakes. I trusted the wrong people. I locked the man I love in a safe room so I could face danger alone. I stood in a courtroom and told the full truth even when it cost me. Today my sister is alive. My daughter is healthy. The Sarah F
Maya’s POVThe hospital room stayed quiet except for the soft beeping of the monitors. I held Liam’s hand tightly as another wave of pain moved through me. Sarah stood on my other side with a cool cloth ready. The doctor and nurses moved with calm focus around the bed.“You’re doing well,” the doctor said. “A few more strong pushes and your baby will be here.”I nodded and breathed the way they had taught me. Liam leaned close and spoke low near my ear.“I’m right here. You’ve got this.”Sarah wiped my forehead. “You’re stronger than anyone I know. Keep going.”The next contraction came harder. I pushed with everything I had. The room felt small and bright at the same time. Liam’s fingers stayed locked with mine. Sarah’s voice stayed steady beside me.Then a thin cry filled the air.The doctor lifted a small, red, perfect baby and placed the child on my chest. Tiny hands opened and closed against my skin. I looked down and felt tears slide down my face.“It’s a girl,” the doctor said
Maya’s POVMy heart was beating very fast i. It felt like a small drum was hitting my ribs over and over. I quickly pulled my hand from under my dress and smoothed the blue cloth down with shaky fingers. My face felt hot. Not from happiness. From panic.I heard Chloe’s soft footsteps walking on the
Maya’s POVMy phone kept buzzing on my pillow like it is angry at me. I opened one eye and see five missed job application emails. All of them say the same thing. “We are sorry. No vacancy at this time.” I sighed loudly and roll over on my bed.“Why does survival feel like homework I cannot finish?
