"Who is Samantha?" I asked again, soaked in a pool of worry.
"I trusted you to not mention her name. Please leave." Hames drew his lips into a snarl.
"So you're sending me out of your house? Wow." Amamda snorted, glared at him from head to toe then angrily left the terrace.
"Hames, tell me who Samantha is right now." I ordered.
He gazed at me, anger was still burning in his eyes. Without another word, he walked away and left the terrace, letting my mouth drop to the ground.
I tried to let the fact that he was hiding a woman's identity sink into my head before leaving the terrace too.
"Hey, sweetheart." Hames' sweet voice drove me out of my slumber.I stretched my arm, yawning.Staring at a shirtless Hames and realizing I was still naked reminded me of last night and I couldn't help the blush that flushed my face."From that blush, I can tell what you're thinking." He sat on the bed, dropping the tray of food he had on it. "Breakfast in bed."I sat up straight, covering my chest with the duvet. "This is very sweet of you but I don't like eating without brushing my teeth and taking a bath first. You should've known that since you stalked me.""Oh… I guess I didn't stalk you enough then. How 'bout coffee?" He lifted a mu
My poor heart was throbbing really hard. I tried to scream or run but I couldn't seem to move. She quickly wrapped her hand around my wrist, the knife was smiling its sharpness at me like it was ready to slit my throat."Go upstairs and don't say a word." She whispered, glancing around and started pulling me towards the stairs.I was so scared to even attempt to run so I let her pull me all the way to my room.God, save me. I internally prayed. She shut the door behind her, sauntered to the bed and gently pushed me to it, shushing me again though I wasn't speaking.Gosh, how
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Hendrix. You're late for work, as always." Sarah teased.I rolled my eyes at her. "Good afternoon to you too, Sarah Louis. Has Hames left?""Now she has the right to call him by his name, she's late for work because she's his wife, she's being bossy.""And you're being silly.""I'm so sorry, Mrs. Hendrix. Please don't make your husband fire me, this job is everything I have." She pleaded jokingly.I shook my head and left her sight, using the elevator to transport me to the 68th floor then got into our office. As expected, Hames was on his office chair, gazing at h
~ IMOGEN ~ "Lunch is ready!" I dropped mine and Hames' tray of food on the dining table and went to where he was sitting on the couch, wrapping my arms around his neck from behind and kissed his cheek. "You're such a sweetheart. This side of you makes me feel like smiling forever." He held my hand and faced me. "You made lunch?" He asked like he just heard what I said. "Yes, yes, yes." "Wow, I'm so lucky. I love your cooking as much as I love you." "That doesn't make so much sense to me. You love something as much as you love your wife?" "Everything about you is loved by me." He kissed my chee
~ LILA ~It had been a month since we've been in Dubai but I was still damn scared of Kade's gentleness.Of course he had always been a gentle and kind boss but it had become excessive. To worsen things, we were in the same hotel room, but different bedrooms, just like Hames and Imogen in Australia, but only one bathroom. Thankfully, we hadn't had a bathroom clash since we've been here.I flinched at the sound of the door shutting.Kade strutted to me. I was thinking of running to my bedroom immediately but something still made me stay back.He dropped to sit beside me and I flinched again.
~ IMOGEN ~One month since that weird husband of mine left but it felt like forever. It was so annoying to be so attached to someone and miss them this much.As he had promised, he called me everyday and I was fully protected but it still felt like torture.Going to work is so boring now. I was simply the boss/boss' wife, not his secretary, which made me have a lot of work to handle.I was so bored of staying at home, alone, though Faith and other workers were there, it still felt so boring, so I decided to go on a walk and probably buy groceries if I was interested in doing so. Of course I had about four bodyguards tailing behind me for protection.I
~ TWO MONTHS LATER ~Once again, another night, no Hames.I was more than confused. Why hasn't he returned home after three fucking months?I returned to my room and took off my jacket, grabbed a towel and left for the bathroom, sinking into the bathtub.I felt so sick. Hames not being around had made me very dizzy with terrible headaches. After a long bath, I wrapped a towel around my body and opened the door. I was shocked to see Hames standing in front of the door, also holding the door knob."Nah, this is probably a dream." I scoffed, rubbing my eyes but he still stood in front of me.
"Uh… I don't know." I chuckled nervously. "Why do you sound so nervous?" She narrowed her eyes at me. "Mom, it's okay. We can't be certain she's pregnant. And if she is, I'm sure it's my child, right Imogen?" He asked and I nodded. "You should definitely do a pregnancy test to confirm if she's pregnant because if she's not then it's probably a serious illness. I'll take my leave." "Wait!" I rose to my feet. "What do you mean by you'll be a grandmother again?" I only heard that clearly. "As far as I know, Hames is your only child." "Oh, he hasn't told you?" She glanced at him.
