Roy stayed in his car, crying. He couldn’t understand what turn his life was taking. A month ago was peaceful and everything was going fine, besides the fact that he didn’t have a mate. But now, his life is a mess, and with everything that has been going on, he had no doubt that he was crazy.
Just a while ago, he would’ve killed one of his own, after years of promising he wouldn’t do such a thing. He wished he could get this guilt off his chest, but he couldn’t because, the more he thought about what he did, the more he felt disappointed in himself.
John reminded him a lot of himself when he lost his sister. The grief he went through was so intense that at one point, he felt like dying, but thanks to his uncle, he couldn’t do it and now, he feels terrible for almost sending one of his own to an early grave just because he hit him.
He should’ve understood that the man was g
“Do you really have to go?” Kimberly nervously asked as she watched Roy put on a black t-shirt. She dreaded the idea from the moment the words came out of his lips hours ago.“Please, don’t go.” She pleaded when she got no response to her previous question, which only meant one thing.“I have to.” He replied confirming her fears.Kimberly didn’t like the idea. There was an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach, like something terrible was going to happen.“Please Roy, I don’t want to lose you.” She was already in tears. Why was he acting like this wasn’t much of a deal when she could feel an unbearable pain in her chest.Taken aback by her sudden change in reaction. Roy stopped what he was doing on his phone and went to her. She had her back against his bedroom door as sh
“Alpha, they are here.” Donald announced, gaining Hugh’s attention as he was pretty deep in thoughts.Hugh could already perceive their scents, but the one he yearned for was missing, making his wolf feel on edge.“Bring them in.” he finally replied and in a matter of seconds they were making their way into his office.“You surprised me, cousin. I thought you were going to bring your whole army… I guess I underestimated you.” He mocked, his brown orbs glaring at Roy’s grey ones.“We are here to talk, not fight.” Alan said, putting an end to the glaring contest between the two Alphas.“Where is she?” Hugh asked, trying his best to sound calm but was failing terribly.“You crossed my territory and killed two of my own. That was out of line, Hugh.” Roy hissed
Roy was driving back to his pack when he noticed something ahead. He drove closer and realized that it was a fallen tree. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, wondering how it got there, because it wasn’t there when he and Alan drove past earlier.“How did this get here?” he murmured, bringing his car to a halt.Something wasn’t right, he could feel it. He climbed out of his car and looked at his surrounding. Nothing seemed out of place, besides the fallen tree, so why does he feel like something or rather someone was staring at him. Maybe he was overreacting, he concluded, reaching for his phone. There was no call or text from his uncle.‘I just hope he’s okay' he mentally said, returning his phone to his back pocket. He looked around one last time and decided that it was time to leave. Just as he was about to open the door to his car, someo
Kimberly followed behind as Roy’s unconscious body was being carried into the house, with tears rolling down her cheeks.“Roy, honey. Is that- oh my goodness! What happened?!” Christine explained coming out of the kitchen where she had been making dinner to distract herself from worrying over the meeting between Roy, Alan and Hugh as Kimberly was in no state to do anything.Elijah explained what happened to his mom. Without any further questions, she hurried into the bathroom to get a first aid kit, a bowl of water and a towel.Kimberly followed them into Roy’s bedroom. They placed his unconscious body on the bed. She settled herself beside him, stroking his hair as she sobbed.“What about your father. Why isn’t he with Roy?” Christine asked the moment she returned back to the room, immediately resuming to clean Roy’s wounds.
Roy felt himself suddenly moving out of the darkness he was previously in. How that was happening was beyond him, but he could feel some form of weight being lifted from off him and his wolf was no longer dormant. He remembered seeing that filthy smirk on Donald’s face after he was injected with wolfsbane before he blacked out. He swore to himself that he would rip Donald’s head off the next time they meet. How long has he been out? Was he still on the road or did those bastards drop his body somewhere else? Was his uncle still with that coward, Hugh, or has he left already? Did Elijah get the call he made through the mind link? All these thoughts were running through Roy’s mind when suddenly, his body was overwhelmed with undescribable pleasure, causing his wolf to get excited. His nose was soon filled with his mate’s scent. This made him wonder how she was feeling since he hadn’t returned
The sound of the alarm woke Roy up. He immediately turned the thing off so it would stop making that annoying noise. After blinking multiple times to get the sleep off his eyes, he felt something beside him. He turned his head to see what it was and saw his beautiful mate sound asleep, her beauty was incomparable and he couldn’t be more proud to be mated to such a rare gem.Roy couldn’t help but stare at her neck where he had marked her last night. So it wasn’t a dream? She was now completely his, he smiled to himself as he thought of last night. Her body molded perfectly with his, like she was the missing piece he needed in his life to make him complete. The feeling was heavenly.“Alpha? Roy heard Elijah’s voice call him through mind link, interrupting his thoughts.“What is it Elijah?” he drily asked, not interested in whatever Elijah h
Roy was fuming with anger. His wolf slowly taking over. He had feared something bad had happened to his mate due to his negligence, his wolf could feel it too. He had imagined she would need medical attention after passing out last night. He even imagined the worse scenario, which was her going into a coma, since she was human. But never did he imagine that he’d find his cousin, Elijah, on his bedroom floor unconscious, in his own pool of blood, with his mate no where in sight. His anxiousness didn’t let him pick up the all too familiar scent in his bedroom at first, but now that he knew why his wolf was restless did he perceive that bastard’s scent in his bedroom. He turned into a half shift and ran out of the room with only one intent in mind, and that was to kill Hugh. He was stopped halfway
Roy made a call to their pack doctor and asked him to come over to his place to check on Elijah. In less than an hour, the doctor was at Roy’s house with the necessary equipment needed to perform his work. After he was done checking on Elijah, he confirmed that there were no internal injuries, even though he was badly beaten by the alpha.Roy swore to himself that he was going to make Hugh pay for all the hurt and pain he had caused his pack, when he comes face to face with him. He couldn’t help but feel guilty when he saw Christine’s tears. She was trembling with fear when she saw her son’s unconscious and completely bruised body. This was all his fault, he shouldn’t have left Elijah by himself after being viciously attacked by Hugh’s warriors the day before. He should’ve known Hugh would have something up his sleeves.Alan could tell, Roy was blaming himsel
