OUR MISTAKE

She clutched to him tightly as if her life depended on it as he sped through the street and after an hour of driving, he turned into a narrow street which seemed lonely and dark. She was too scared to even ask where they were but she had a sort of trust in him that he’s not going to harm her at least.

After another five minutes ride, he pulled up in front of an apartment and told her to come down. She slowly got off the bike and looked around but no one was in sight.

“I told you it gets lonely here once it’s seven in the night” he said with a smile as he sensed her fear and she released an “Ah”

“You should go in through the gate, I will follow you with my bike” he added and she moved to the green gate leading to the apartment.

She opened the gate and stepped in to see only a big furry white dog sitting in its house. The door wanted to bark at her but he was quick to caution him as he brought his bike in.

“You should not be scared, he doesn’t bite without a cause” he assured her before leading her inside.

It was when she got inside that she realized that she was in her pajamas. He offered her a cold glass of water first as she scanned the room which was a little too furnished for a student like him.

“You live alone?” she asked receiving the cup from him

“Yes”

“Alone in this apartment? No parents?” she asked in shock

“They are on a trip and will be back during the weekend” he answered sitting on the chair next to her

“I am sorry I ran into your bike the other time, I wanted to run away” she apologized

“And I am glad that I was there to help but did something happen?” he questioned and she explained how she was the only one at home and some people were planning to burst into her home so she fled for her life

“How could your mom leave you alone at home without even a phone? That’s absurd. So what will you like to eat?”

“Nothing, I ate not quite long” she responded

“I have snacks and fruits at home if you feel hungry though” he added and she asked for some apples which he brought with immediate effect.

“I know you will be tired already so let me show you were you will sleep” he said and took her to one of the rooms

The bed was already laid and the room was well kept with a fruity scent filling everywhere.

“I am sorry for inconveniencing you, I will just pass the night here and go home tomorrow” she murmured

“It’s okay, there are a lot of rooms actually” he smiled and bid her goodnight before he went back to the sitting room.

 Around one in the midnight, a heavy rain began to fall and the thunderstorms were very loud. She woke up from her sleep after having a nightmare about what happened in the evening and ran out in fear as the windows and curtain shook violently.

“Mike!” she called out as she ran to the sitting room but he was not there.

She curled up on the couch and turned the big blanket on her head to cover all her body as she covered her ears with the pillow in fear. He must have heard her call for him because he soon came into the room and saw her shivering with fear under the blanket.

“Is something wrong?” he asked running towards her and she quickly jumped up

“I am scared! I had a nightmare and the thunderstorm is not helping too” she said with a shaky voice and he pulled her into a hug

“I am here, you don’t have any reason to be scared anymore” he said with a pat and another loud thunderstorm graced the sky which made her pull unto him tighter

“I cannot sleep alone” she muttered into his ear

“I will sleep here with you, don’t worry” he assured her and went inside to bring his own blanket

He tucked her in on the big pouch and spread his own sleeping mat on the floor beside the couch.

“Thank you for accommodating me” she muttered as she slowly drifted to sleep after some minutes but he couldn’t sleep since he was already wide awake.

It was not up to thirty minutes she slept off when she rolled off the couch and landed on his sleeping mat. He was scared that she would injure herself and rolled to check her when she continued to snore loudly as she slept.

“She’s cute” he mumbled with a smile as he watched her sleep in front of him.

That was the first time he would look at her up close.  Her thin lips were resting on each other in a curvy manner, her long lashes were evident as she closed her eyes and her small button nose with small nostrils were high in the air.

She shifted a bit and slowly opened her eyes to see him looking at her, she wondered when she got to the floor with her heart beating like crazy. They were having a staring contest when another thunder struck the sky and she flew into his arms in fear.

Things became hot between them as their bodies’ temperatures began to rise and they were glued to each other’s arm. They were exchanging hot breaths and she didn’t know what the feeling was, she loved it and wanted more because it felt so good.

They slowly brought their lips closer and before they knew it, they were ravaging each other’s lips. They couldn’t point out if it was the cold, fear or intimacy that brought about the reaction but the kiss was so passionate that they both didn’t want to let go.

He sat properly and drew her in between his legs to close the gap remaining between them. He chewed on her lower lips while she sucked on his upper lips as they enjoyed the steamy moment. He slowly laid her on the blanket without disconnecting the kiss and his hand roamed around her neckline making her moan in his mouth.

It was crazy!  

He played with top two buttons of her pajamas and they gave way for him to access her braless chest. He took one of his nipples between his fingers and started rolling it in then apply a little pressure by pulling it which made her feel so good.

“Mi.. mi.. Mike” she groaned as he enveloped her nipples with his wet and hot mouth

She drew his head closer to her chest in approval of whatever he was doing to her as she struggled to release a moan. He was playing with every cells in her body as they bowed to his command.

They ended up sleeping with each other which they both enjoyed every moment of it and she went back home the next day. Her mother came back and they found dents on the door in which the intruders left behind as they tried to break into the house before they had to flee when the patrol car came around.

A MONTH LATER

Her result came out and she was happy to have gotten admission into her school as a medical student. She was filled with joy and rushed to show Mike but she didn’t find him at home even though she kept going there. The number he gave her wasn’t going through anymore as she tried calling it on her new phone she got from her mom as a gift.

She was eating one Saturday morning when she puked and rushed to the toilet, vomited and complained of how she was feeling weak. Her mom dragged her to the hospital where she was declared pregnant.

“You slut” Agnes slapped her across the face in front of the doctor before stomping out.

She left her behind at the hospital and by the time she got home, her mother had packed all her load and left home. It turned out that her mother had gotten them a plane ticket to move out of Hungary but left her behind when she found out she was pregnant.

She sighted a paper on the dining table and picked up to read what was written on it

“Never show up in my life, you are nothing but a bad memory I must cut off”

She closed her eyes in tears as all her worlds fell apart in just a split second.
