I felt a withered hand touch my neck.

Old Margot squinted her cloudy eyes at it for a long time, then leaned in to sniff.

Suddenly, she frowned and rolled her eyes at him speechlessly.

"Alpha, with all due respect. Why do you turn into an idiot whenever it concerns your sister?"

"This isn't a Mark. It's just cheap paint!"

Lucas froze.

The air solidified instantly.

Disbelieving, he leaned in and sniffed my neck frantically.

He had been blinded by jealousy and anger earlier, but now calming down and sniffing...
