Chapter 1
(Introduction) Ava’s POV I walked inside the three-bedroom flat belonging to my boss, Madam Nada. She owns Nada’s Strippers Club, a brothel, and several other bars across California. I have been with her for four years, ever since she plucked me from the streets. I just turned nineteen two weeks ago, in the month of September. As usual, I had picked up some classic G-strings for her from her regular supplier. Initially, my impressions of Madam Nada were negative. However, after getting closer to her, I realized she was a woman of good character with a genuine personality. I had feared she wanted to trade me into prostitution, but it was quite the opposite. I work for her primarily as a housemaid, though I occasionally help out at her businesses depending on the day's sales. Madam Nada took me in like her own daughter, having been unable to conceive for the past six years. She told me the story herself. Madam Nada was once married, but she was cast out and divorced by her husband's family when they discovered she was barren. It was an unexpected end to a life she thought would be filled with children and lovely memories. I shut the door behind me and walked toward her, carrying the bag of goods. “Did you get something to eat on your way here?” she asked, taking the bag from me. “No, I didn't. I didn't want to spend the change on street food. It’s an unnecessary expense. I’ll just prepare some pasta with green soup,” I replied, brushing my hair back from my face. “Prepare some for me and for Dalton, too,” she called out. I couldn't help but shiver at the thought of her boyfriend being around. “Madam Nada?” I called, walking back out of the kitchen. “Huh?” she hummed, her soft, gentle eyes meeting mine. Should I tell her or not? Gosh, I’m confused, I thought. I didn't want to be the cause of a rift or a separation. I hesitated for a short moment and decided to keep quiet. “I’ll miss you,” I wiggled like a baby, making her laugh. She genuinely laughed—her bright face and those charming, deep dimples made me want to hug her tight. Madam Nada never once treated me like a maid; she treated me like a sister. “I’m not in the mood for your jokes, Ava baby,” she chuckled. “Do you want to hug Mama?” She asked with a melting smile, and I nodded without a second thought. Why would I hesitate with someone who never mistreated me, despite how clumsy I am? She stroked my hair gently and planted a kiss on my forehead. “I want to get some things from the general market... I promise it won't take long. If it does, I’ll text you,” she said, disengaging from the hug. “Okay,” I replied. I followed her to the door and watched her walk to her black Toyota. The security guard opened the gate, and she drove out. As usual, I was alone—at least until her boyfriend arrived to pick up his food. I never liked her boyfriend. His eyes looked creepy, and they gave me goosebumps every time our gazes met. I tried to enjoy the silence before he arrived to ruin my mood. Today would be the third time I’d be alone with him. I draped my headphones around my neck with one goal in mind: cooking my delicious pasta. I started the prep with my music playing. I was about to place the nonstick pan on the gas stove when I suddenly remembered I hadn't locked the front door. “That son of a bitch...” I cursed, rushing to the door and throwing the bolt. I took a long, relaxing breath as I leaned against the wood. I didn't even feel safe in my own home—not when a man like Dalton was after a teenage girl like me. It wasn't as if he lacked options; he was rich enough to afford the most expensive company in the world. So why me? I refused to let him take my dignity. I was determined to remain a virgin until I found the right man. Maybe I should visit Gold when I’m done with everything, I thought. I ran to my bedroom to take a quick shower while the pasta water boiled. I couldn't allow him to catch me off guard today, especially since Madam Nada wouldn't be gone long. I dressed quickly in black jeans and a white round-neck t-shirt. I knew why he chased me; it was hard to ignore the attention a nineteen-year-old girl with a body like Cardi B's attracted. I rushed out of my room, pulling my long, straight hair back, intending to check on the pasta. My heart dropped. He was already there, sitting on the cushion with his phone in his hands. “Not now, God!” I felt like crying, but I summoned the courage to push the fear aside. “Good morning, Ava,” he greeted. I bowed slightly in fear. What’s even good about this morning? I thought, letting out a loud hiss. I turned to look at him, only to find him staring directly at my rear. “How did you get in?” I asked. I remembered vividly locking that door, and Madam Nada hadn't mentioned giving Dalton a spare key. “Your boss gave me a spare key—” “She gave it to you, or you asked for it?” I corrected him instantly. “I collected a spare key to her house. I have no problem with that.” “Gosh,” I muttered, nodding as I retreated toward the kitchen. I hadn't been in the kitchen for more than a minute when I heard movement behind me. I shut my eyes tight, then forced them open. “I don't think you should be in the kitchen, Dalton,” I said, turning to face him. His stare was thick with lust. “Do you want me to lie to Nada? Tell her you stole money from me?” As usual, the threats started. Why are men such beasts to those they perceive as weak? They love making the helpless feel worthless. “No,” I shook my head, frustrated. I was dying to stand up for myself, but if I did, I might have to leave Madam Nada’s house, and I had nowhere else to go. “Strip for me, Ava!” he demanded, smacking my backside. Those words sent a fresh wave of goosebumps over my skin, accompanied by a sickening, hollow feeling in my chest.Chapter 7Shattered IllusionsAva’s POVI wasn't expecting that response. How could he say it so casually—that it was "the best sex of the month"? He looked at me and chuckled, a dark, melodic sound that sent a shiver down my spine.“You’re cool...” he uttered, leaning in to press a lingering peck against my lips.Reality hit me like a physical blow. I gasped as I remembered I hadn’t come here alone. I was here with Gold.“I have to go,” I rushed out, the words tumbling over each other. He released his grip on me, but not before collecting my details and handing me $17,000 in cash. I turned to flee, but a nagging sensation in the back of my mind made me stop dead in my tracks.“Do I know you from somewhere?” I asked. I had no memory of ever meeting him before tonight; to me, he was just a famous face, a celebrity I admired from afar.“Who is Nadaline to you?” he countered. My heart skipped a thousand beats. Hearing him say my boss’s full name felt like a bucket of ice water over my he
Chapter 6 {Sex With My Favorite Porn Star}Gold’s POV“Oh! I'm sorry,” Ava apologized, bowing her head toward the crowd that had been staring at her. They offered small, amused smiles in return. We walked up to the payment counter and were told that everything had already been taken care of. Ava let out a strange, nervous laugh. I was baffled. We had just arrived—who could have possibly paid for our entire day?“Don't you think it's weird?” I whispered in her ear. Ava just shrugged.“Who cares? It's paid for; we should just have fun,” she said, her voice completely devoid of worry.Ava’s POVGold and I changed into the new swimwear provided by the park and rushed toward the pools. It was the best feeling I’d ever had—just playing in the water, splashing around, and taking endless videos and snaps on Gold’s phone. My blissful moment was cut short, however, when a staff member approached and told me I was being called for.“What do you mean your ‘boss’ wants to talk to her?” Gold’s voi
Chapter 5{Clumsy Me} Gold’s POV I was at home earlier when I spotted Ava’s boss’s boyfriend’s car parked in front of their apartment. It struck me as odd that he was there so early in the morning. Curious and a bit protective, I made an excuse to my mom about checking up on Ava, figuring I’d take her along to the place I was planning to go for some fun. My mom gave me the green light, and I rushed over. By the time I reached her door, the boyfriend had already driven off. For a second, I thought about turning back, but I decided to go in anyway. Ava is never boring; she’s exactly the person you want around for a day of girls' fun and gossip. I knocked and waited for her to let me in. When she opened the door, I found her engrossed in a show about celebrity lifestyles. I playfully nudged her aside and walked right in. “Gold?” she gasped, sounding genuinely startled. She immediately started peering over my shoulder, craning her neck as if she were looking for someone else. “Why d
Chapter 4{Welcoming Gold, A Friend}Ava’s POVI was home alone after Dalton left for work. I eventually grew tired of scrolling through adult sites, so I decided to find a movie instead. I stepped out of my room and headed to the kitchen to grab a cold bottle of water from the fridge.I’ve always loved keeping the curtains drawn in my room; there’s something comforting about the dark. Besides, my eyes tend to water whenever I’m hit by sudden, bright light. I settled onto the sofa, remote in hand, flipping through channels for something to catch my interest. That’s when I stumbled upon a station dedicated to the lives of the ultra-wealthy: the Billionaire Lifestyle Channel.Curiosity got the better of me. I wanted to see who the top-rated billionaires in the country were. I clicked "OK," and suddenly, a familiar face popped up on the screen. It was Lucky Darius, the famous adult film star, ranked as the fifth richest billionaire.“So attractive and cool in reality,” I beamed, smiling
Chapter 3{A Little About Him}Ava’s POVI spent thirty minutes in the bathroom, wondering why it had to be me. Honestly, I’m exhausted from overthinking it. I submerged myself under the soapy water, trying to wash the feeling of him off my skin. Once finished, I dressed in a simple black gown. There was no point in trying to hide my body anymore; he had already seen everything. I decided to leave my long hair down, letting it fall past my shoulders.I slipped on my funny, childish flip-flops and walked out of my room.“Seriously,” I muttered, letting out a dry laugh when I saw him mopping the kitchen. There was a lingering, unpleasant smell in the air that felt out of place. As I walked further into the room, he raised his head and noticed me. His eyes scanned me from head to toe before he smiled, gesturing for me to come over.I walked closer, and he pulled me against his wide chest. I realized then just how well-built he is; his abs are the kind that would make anyone drool at fir
Chapter 2{His Touch Is Weird}Ava’s POVNormally, I shouldn't let his threats get to me, but I honestly don’t know if Madam Nada trusts me more than her own boyfriend. Have you ever been in a situation where you’re working overtime to earn someone’s trust, terrified that even a whisper of doubt could ruin everything? That is my life right now. It was hard enough to earn Madam Nada's favor, and I refuse to let her boyfriend be the reason we are torn apart. But the man is desperate. He is relentless. I’ve begged Madam Nada to install CCTV cameras in the house, but she always brushes it off. “I’ve never lost anything or heard any weird news about you, so why do you want them?” she’d say. She is firmly against the idea, and I don't have the power to pressure her into something she doesn't want.I have two close friends I turn to: Janice Griffith, who works at the stripping club, and another friend from the streets. I had actually planned to head to the club to see Janice before this idio
