Send Her Away

“Take her away,” Marcel ordered the four bulky policemen who weren’t smiling as they made their way towards them.

“Mr. Wilson, you can’t do this to me. Please,” she pleaded. She couldn’t help but plead with Marcel for the umpteenth time that day. It still feels like a dream to her that she was going to be sent to jail at this stage of her life. She hasn’t even fulfilled her life goals yet. She has not traveled to all the places she dreamed of traveling to. Oh lord please help her so that they forgive her.

“Ma’am please come with us,” the police politely asked as they didn’t want to force her just yet. She was a lady and shouldn’t be rough-handled.

“I don’t want to go with you guys. Please forgive me. I promise that I won’t dare to disobey you all anymore and I won’t do stuff like this again. Please, grandfather.”

Her pleadings fell on deaf ears. How she wished that they even sent her far away instead of this. Does she wish for this life for herself? Not at all.
