"99%. This means she's your daughter, boss." Ray told me, like I did not have the paper in my hands already. I kept reading the results over and over, stunned by the fact that this girl indeed belonged to me. She was my blood, and I was not impotent.

"Why the hell did she not tell me? Why would she let my offspring suffer for years?" I asked, still not looking up from the paper. He cleared his throat.

"Uh, Sir… I think it would be because you asked her to not show her face to you ever again. She probably thought of the worst scenario if she told you.."

He trailed off when he saw how hard I was looking at him.

"You seem so defensive of her." I accused, dropping the paper on my work table and crossing my arms over my chest.

He pinked, then began to itch the back of his papers before awkwardly grabbing the documents in front of him and moving backwards.

"I'll just take my leave now, boss. Congratulations on the discovery."
