Coronation Of The Monster Alpha

“What are you talking about, Rudolph?” I snapped, breaking free from the monster's grasp.

“I absolutely refuse to marry this man!” No way, never in a million years! Even the heavens forbid that!

Rudolph had the audacity to motion for me to calm down. Calm down? After everything that's happened? I should just magically calm down?!

I spun around, locking eyes with the terrifying monster who stood before me, then shifted my gaze to Rudolph. “You're out of your mind if you think I'll marry the man who murdered my parents! A complete stranger—"

“My name is Fenrir,” he interrupted behind me. I turned, giving him a glare. I didn't even know what to say next. Did he seriously think I care about what his parents decided to name him?

“Fenrir,” he repeated like a complete idiot. Can you believe the nerve of this guy?

“Was this supposed to be an introduction? Who asked for your stupid name? You could be nameless for all I care!” I snapped at him, feeling utterly miserable and bleak.

“You,” he said, pointing directly at Rudolph. The tension in the room grew even thicker.

“Rudolph Aegenwulf, Milord.” Rudolph said with a bow.

“What the hell? What was going on for heaven's sake! This was so out of character for Rudolph. He never bowed to anyone, except the Alpha.”

“Rudolph, what the fuck is wrong with you?” I exclaimed through gritted teeth, my eyes welling up with tears again.

It pained me to see him bowing to the same man who killed my father - his Alpha, right in front of his lifeless body! It was such a disrespectful act. “Are you out of your damn mind?”

Rudolph let out a sigh, raising his head to look at me and then back at Fenrir.

“I want the wedding preparations to start right away,” Fenrir declared, snapping my attention back to him.

“I will never marry you,” I retorted, my fear outweighing my anger.

Then something happened that terrified me even more. He forcefully pulled me towards him, gripping my chin tightly, forcing me to meet his cold, dark eyes.

“Rudolph, get the preparations started,” he said, his face inches from mine, his eyes locked on me.

His face was only an inch away from mine, his eyes still staring at me. “Don't fight me, Marsai.” He said, calmly. But I felt humiliation, I felt anger. I wanted to scream “I hate you so much, Fenrir,”

“Yes, Milord. But we need to step into the next room.” Rudolph interrupted.

“Why?” Fenrir asked, glancing at Rudolph. He released his grip on my chin, leaving behind a burning sensation.

“To summon the servants... to clean up," Rudolph stammered. I could hear him gulp, “and to announce you... as the new Alpha."

“What? NO! Heaven forbid! No!”

What the hell is Rudolph talking about? What is he playing at? The tears I had been holding streamed down my face. I could only lower my head in a sob, trying as hard as I could not to look at my parent's lifeless bodies. Heavens above, what was to become of me now?

“How could the man who murdered my parents, be forcing me to marry him, and take my father’s position to become the new Alpha?”

“It's the Law, Marsai.” Rudolph mumbled, "By right, the one who can defeat the Alpha earns his-

“I know the goddam law! Who are you to teach me the Pack rules? how…how could you allow t-this…”

I couldn't hold back the tears, they choked my throat as I sobbed. My eyes begged Rudolph to object to this awful arrangement, but he didn't budge.

“Shall we move to the next room?” Rudolph asked Fenrir, and I watched as Fenrir nodded.

And off we went, into the next room, leaving the one that holds the memory and evidence that my old life and happiness are dead forever.

As we strode into the next room, I stepped into my new future, one I can be sure is filled with dark clouds.

I, Marsai, will never be happy again.

It happened just like that. The preparations didn't even last ten minutes because Fenrir, that monster, couldn't wait. He didn't want to.

“Who does he think he is? What gives him the right to disrespect our customs like this?”

I shot him a fierce glare from my seat in the throne room, on my little throne that was rightfully mine as the Alpha and Luna's daughter. Well, they were the deceased Alpha and Luna now, I suppose.

There he stood, in the midst of everyone, donning my father's Alpha uniform, not even a hint of respect on his face as he gladly embraced the title of 'Alpha' with unmistakable satisfaction.

“...And I declare you, Alpha Fenrir, the leader of the Crescent Moon Pack,” Rudolph's deep voice echoed through the room as he placed the royal crest on Fenrir’s head.

I was on the verge of a breakdown, but I couldn't tear my eyes away.

I watched as Rudolph immediately transformed into his wolf form and let out a mighty howl, signifying the completion of the coronation. The others, the five elder heads, servants, and Delta nobles shifted too and joined in the howling, everyone except for me.

If he thinks everyone will just accept this because they fear him, he's mistaken. I won't dishonor my late father, my Alpha, by accepting this monster.

I continued to watch, clutching the sides of the dress I was forced to wear for this occasion.

Fenrir arrogantly approached my father's throne and instead of sitting on it with reverence, he transformed into a massive black wolf, larger than any I've ever seen, and leaped onto the throne, letting out a menacing growl.

Everyone's faces were filled with anger, surprise, and fear at the same time. Anger that he would do such a brazen thing, surprised at the sheer size and fierceness of his wolf form, and fear of him entirely.

As he shifted back, he casually lounged on the throne, and that's when his gaze locked onto me.

“Marsai,” he called out, and I glanced up at him, hoping he could sense the burning hatred in my gaze. I had stopped shedding tears, refusing to give him the satisfaction of my vulnerability.

“Marsai?” he called again. Hm... I'm certain he was curious about how I would address him.

Biting my tongue to suppress the urge to call him the despicable monster he truly is, I replied, “My lord?”

He grinned and motioned for me to come closer, saying, “Come, sit beside me. Let's have a little talk.”

I blinked twice, trying to process what he was saying. “Let's whom, and who have a little talk?” I glanced around at the eager faces with fake smiles.

As a new alpha, it's expected of him to give a speech, a pledge that he will fulfill his obligation as the leader of the Pack. And here he was, asking for a chat like it was just the two of us in the room.

“Come,” his voice grew deeper and a faint frown appeared on his face.

Cautiously, I approached him and reluctantly offered him my hand, which he held onto for longer than needed.

“Take a seat,” he gestured towards the chair beside him— Luna's throne.

“No,” I quickly responded, pulling my hand away from his grasp. “I can't dishonor my mother like this. I'm not Luna.”

I had no right to sit on that throne, I wouldn't dare... I'd be so ashamed, since everything was MY fault.

“Sit,” he demanded once more. But I stood my ground.

“I'm not Luna,” I said, my anger boiling inside.

“I'll make you one then,” he declared, turning to the crowd and locking eyes with Rudolph.

“Get everything ready. Let the wedding be tonight so I can claim her as my Luna,” Fenrir ordered with a menacing growl.
