Fenrir
It started as a dull ache at the back of my head then it grew into sirens that rang in my ears, jolting me awake.Everything hurts my back, my head….oh, my head. The scenery before me was as white and clear. Slowly I realized I was in a forest, covered in layers of snow. I was cold, I was hurt. But most importantly, I was confused. I had no idea how exactly I got to the forest, what I was doing sitting on a snowy ground with no clothes, or where I came from.“Where exactly am I? What happened to me?”I groaned as I tried to pick myself up from the ground, but I was immediately blinded by the light that was illuminating everywhere.I looked up to see the bright Full Moon, it was dazzling. In fact, I had never seen the Moon shine so brightly. I wanted to appreciate it a little, but I was not in the right state of mind.I heaved a deep breath as I pushed myself painfully to lean on the bark of a tree, “you can do this, Fenrir.” Yeah, I could do this.I could…. wait, what did I just call myself? Fenrir. Is that my name? It had to be if I subconsciously remembered it. Fenrir, my name is Fenrir.I was glad to have remembered my name, but when I tried to remember other things, I found it very difficult. Instead, all I got was a deep sharp pain piercing my brain like a needle.I couldn't remember a damn anything. My brain felt heavy and useless, so I tried to use my other senses.I sighed sadly as I took a deep breath, my nose tingling instantly at a strange scent. Whatever it was that wafted through my nose smelled wonderful. So damn terrific that I had to sniff the air again, but I couldn’t determine the scent until I took a deep sniff at my torn and messy shirt. It was the scent of a flower, a rose… a wild rose. But this scent didn't come from me. It was lingering around me, but not from me, as the owner of the scent had been around me.I had a feeling it was the red-haired lady who had pushed away the snow from my body. The sudden remembrance jolted my brain and it shocked my entire body. I recalled something! It wasn't something from long ago, but a recent memory. Someone had been here, a vague memory of a young lady, with red and flowing hair.I couldn't make out her face but I could remember her scent, the same scent that was tingling in my nose. Wild roses.“Who was she? Why did she help me?”I was very curious to know about all these, maybe she knew where I came from or what I was doing here. Maybe—“Ahh!” I screamed when I felt sudden pain inflicted on me. My body was jolted forward, and I fell with both hands on the cold snowy ground. What was happening to me?I felt something hot coursed through my veins. Oh, heavens...what was happening? Was I dying? My legs felt weak, and I let out a loud groan. I attempted to stand up, but my body wouldn't cooperate. It was as if my limbs had a mind of their own.In my state of confusion, fear, and agony, I glanced upward and noticed something peculiar in the sky—the Moon. Its glow intensified, and I could actually feel its rays touching me.Something weird came over me. I attempted to yell, but instead, a fierce growl escaped my lips. It was absolutely insane! This sensation is completely new to me.I was down on all fours now, in a very strange position, and I knew something strange was definitely happening to me. I just didn't know what it was or if I was possessed. Why did I feel like I was dead, but I'm now alive? Was I alive because of this? The rays of the Moon strangely begin to suppress me, taking over me, and turning me into something I knew I wasn’t.All of a sudden, my canines started to grow longer and little hairs began to sprout from my skin. But when I finally glanced at it, those weren't just tiny hairs. I saw a whole bunch of hair, a deep golden hue—it was fur!I was about to scream my lungs out this time, but immediately, my throat felt dry, and my eyes were overshadowed with darkness. They snapped open- my eyes. I looked around sharply, suddenly realizing I was still where I was a few minutes ago. But I wasn’t who I was anymore. I was a wolf. A terrifying one!I felt strange, I felt powerful….I felt rage. A burning rage of blood. To slaughter. The excitement that came upon me was overwhelming. I opened my mouth to yell my fury, but all that came out was a loud powerful growl and a howl. This time I couldn’t think about it.Heck, I couldn’t think about anything, all I could focus on was the maddening anger and raging bloodthirst that had thoroughly dominated me.My sharp paws dug into the snowy ground as I took off, running with incredible speed. I couldn't believe how effortlessly my body moved, like the wind itself. It felt like I was one with the wind, the gentle touch of the breeze against my fur.To my surprise, my insatiable thirst for blood remained unquenched. Despite the darkness of the night, my vision was keen, allowing me to see things from a distance. As I ventured away from the snowy wilderness, I spotted a grand house ahead of me. It stood proudly amidst a cluster of smaller dwellings, its imposing presence casting a shadow over the others. There is a celebration. I could easily tell with the large crowd surrounding the house and the lively sounds emanating from within it. It's clear that the celebration was in full swing. As I approached the magnificent structure, my eyes were drawn to the dazzling display of bright lights and vibrant decorations. The air was filled with the infectious melodies of cheerful music, and a constant stream of people flowed in and out of the house, their smiles radiating joy and excitement. Somehow, instead of bringing me comfort, those smiles infuriated me and increased my blood thirst. As I edged closer, I saw something strange, some of those people were turning into wolves…they were werewolves! Before I could even question my own sanity, an overwhelming surge of rage consumed me, propelling me forward with an unstoppable force. With no regard for reason or consequence, I sprinted into the house at an astonishing speed, my presence a blur to those around me. The frenzy within me grew, driving me deeper into the heart of the celebration. It took a few minutes before anyone realized my presence. Their concentration was on the huge cake that was being rolled into the middle of the vast room.“Amazing,” someone said.Soon enough, I heard the sounds of lips matching over the sight of the cake and that infuriated me.“Now, let's call out the beautiful celebrant to cut her….hey, who are you?”“Finally, they see me.” The thought was appealing to my bloodthirst.I didn't wait for my presence to register in their heads before I growled, and bounced on the nearest person. I instantly tore him apart with my sharp claws and watched him wriggle as blood dripped out of his slit neck.Blood.I wanted to see more blood!I began pouncing on anyone and everyone. Their harsh screams penetrated my ears, but it didn't stop me, it only made me thirstier. A handful of them were down in a few minutes, and some of them started turning into a similar form as mine. I felt intrigued and dared.“How dare they think they can battle with me?”I noticed there was a bigger one among them, it was a large gray wolf. I could remember he was a big, averagely tall man before. Even as a wolf, he still stood to protect the woman beside him. No man or wolf was beside him. I had killed them all.The gray wolf may seem intimidating, but not to me. At all. It was probably because of the power that was currently possessing me.I snapped and growled, then jumped on his gray fur. He battled me, I could give him that, but it didn't take long before I snaked past him, and slit his neck with my sharp claws.I watched him fall heavily on the floor and a satisfying growl escaped me before I picked the small woman up, and tore her apart like I did her protector or perhaps her lover.Any sense of humanity had left me. I couldn’t feel any remorse. If, at all, I could feel a thing, it was satisfaction as my dark eyes roamed around the house that was now filled with the stinky smell of blood and wounded bodies.Just as I was about to unleash a strangely satisfying growl, a delightful fragrance filled the air - the unmistakable scent of wild roses. It was her. Where? Finally, the intense urge that fueled my insatiable thirst subsided, and a sense of calm washed over me. The transformative process began, with my elongated canines retracting and the abundance of fur gradually receding from my body. My bones cracked and realigned themselves, allowing me to once again stand on two feet. And just as I regained my composure, that's when she entered the room, captivating my attention.“My wild rose,”Her hair was just like I remembered, a vivid shade of red, though it looked redder, flowed gracefully behind her. The night accentuated the glow of her skin, adding to her ethereal beauty. As I took two steps towards her, her hazel eyes scanned the room. Suddenly, her gaze locked onto something that startled her, causing her to gasp and scream in shock. Her piercing scream reverberated through my ears, causing me to clench my teeth in discomfort. With keen observation, I witnessed a transformation in her once radiant expression. The capti
Marsai “What have I done? Marsai, what misery have you brought upon yourself?”If only I had known, I wouldn't have saved this monster. I would have reported him to my father right away! This was all my fault. If only I had been smart enough… if only I had been obedient...if only I had stayed at home… But there is no room for 'ifs' anymore. The deed has been done and now I'm left to live in regrets of what I had done…or what I could have done. It was a bizarre sensation, an overwhelming urge to both laugh and scream at the same time. Though screaming was difficult with my hoarse throat, I wanted to laugh at my immediate misfortune and scream at my own foolishness. Look at me, wasn't it enough that I was mateless? Already doomed to be lonely for the rest of my life, now, I'm not only mateless, I'm now an orphan. An orphan at the mercy of this deranged werewolf. An orphan who had played a part in her parent's death! “Are you happy now, universe? Have you cursed me enough to your s
“What are you talking about, Rudolph?” I snapped, breaking free from the monster's grasp. “I absolutely refuse to marry this man!” No way, never in a million years! Even the heavens forbid that! Rudolph had the audacity to motion for me to calm down. Calm down? After everything that's happened? I should just magically calm down?! I spun around, locking eyes with the terrifying monster who stood before me, then shifted my gaze to Rudolph. “You're out of your mind if you think I'll marry the man who murdered my parents! A complete stranger—" “My name is Fenrir,” he interrupted behind me. I turned, giving him a glare. I didn't even know what to say next. Did he seriously think I care about what his parents decided to name him? “Fenrir,” he repeated like a complete idiot. Can you believe the nerve of this guy?“Was this supposed to be an introduction? Who asked for your stupid name? You could be nameless for all I care!” I snapped at him, feeling utterly miserable and bleak.“You,” he
I was shocked by his order, but after experiencing so many emotions today, I felt numb. I haven't accepted this as my fate, but... he... he's too powerful to defy.“Excuse me, Alpha,” a deep voice came from the crowd, and I turned to see who it was. It was Dante Oberon, one of the five Pack Elders. He was in his late fifties and the second oldest Elder.“What did you have to say?" Fenrir's voice held no respect whatsoever for the elderly man. He was like a brute. A good-looking brute. What is it with his man? what imprudence?!Elder Dante didn't let his rudeness bother him as he continued to speak. “Having a wedding tonight is not possible.”Fenrir immediately stood up, his imposing figure casting a shadow over everyone as a deep frown formed on his face. “Why?”“The death of her parents forbids it,” he replied.“It's true, Alpha,” Elder Cross Everon, the fourth Elder, agreed. “It's considered taboo and bad luck to marry on the day of a funeral.”“Yes,” Everyone agreed. “It's true."
FenrirAnother day but anger still lingers from a restless night. I ran my hands through my hair, letting out a subtle sigh. My gaze falls below the window, but I don't really see or notice anything. My mind is elsewhere. The deep frown on my face shows it's not a good place.Look at me, an Alpha leading a pack of werewolves. I have it all now - money, power, authority. Everything except her - Marsai, and the memories that came before. But I'd rather not dwell on them. The anger surged through me felt like molten metal. She disobeyed me, attempting to escape my grasp. Her abrupt flee yesterday played on repeat in my mind. During my coronation, I could feel her intense glare, as if she wanted to pierce through me. The hatred in her eyes and her refusal to howl like the others when the coronation was finalized revealed that she would never accept me as her Alpha or husband. Perhaps that's why she tried to delay the wedding with the 'bad luck' tale. She despises me, I'm very much aware
“Interesting,” I replied with a sly smirk, my mind already scheming their deaths. “Get them all in my chambers for a meeting, now.” The anger that had started to fade suddenly surged back, but this time it wasn't fiery and hot. It was icy and menacing. The thought of what I had planned for them sent a thrilling shiver down my spine. The emotions were just as intense as yesterday, but this time, I gave full reign to the burning rage.“Yes, Alpha,” Rudolph bowed respectfully before departing.I strolled into my chambers, my mind consumed with thoughts of the impending meeting. The exquisite suit I wore felt too elegant, far too pristine to be tainted with blood. I swiftly discarded it, opting for something less... alluring. As I settled in, I couldn't help but reach for the bowl of succulent grapes nearby. Popping a few into my mouth, I savored the sweet taste, relishing in their juicy distraction while I impatiently awaited the arrival of the Elders..Soon, a gentle rap on my chamber
MarsaiAfter Fenrir stormed out, I crumpled to the floor, trembling with fear. He had never shown that level of anger before. The way he shattered the painting revealed the intensity of his emotions. Maybe I shouldn't have pushed him, but I couldn't help myself. After everything he did, he had the audacity to demand an apology from me. Unbelievable!Although I was furious at him, I couldn't help but wonder what Fenrir was up to. I was terrified that he might do something drastic, as he said. But I really hope he doesn't. “Marsai?” a voice called from behind the door. I slowly got up and walked to the door, opening it to find Rudolph's face. “Rudolph,” I called out.I wasn't angry with him anymore for not protecting our Pack against Fenrir. I think I understand, but that doesn't mean I'm happy with him.“I came to check on you. I heard you were...back,” I didn't say anything and waited for him to say something more reasonable.“I brought Clara to help you change.” He said.My eyebr
Fenrir “Well, well Fenrir, I must say you did, good. You finally have Marsai all to yourself.” I smirked to myself, feeling satisfied. The wedding was a total success, even though it wasn't a huge affair. I'm not one for big crowds or long ceremonies. I invited who I wanted, including the elders - the ones who survived - because I wanted to show them what I'm capable of. I wanted them to know that I, Fenrir, always get what I want, when I want it.Marsai is now my wife, and I couldn't be happier. Damn, my wife looks incredibly alluring tonight. The dress I picked out for her hugged her in all the right places. Sure, she wasn't thrilled about the wedding, but what could she do? She'll have to accept it eventually. I still don't remember who I was before that night, the night I met Marsai, but it doesn't matter. I know who I am now - Alpha Fenrir, the feared leader of the Crescent Moon Pack. I smirked again. The feeling of accomplishment is like nothing I've ever experienced befor
