First Escape From The Monster Alpha

I was shocked by his order, but after experiencing so many emotions today, I felt numb.

I haven't accepted this as my fate, but... he... he's too powerful to defy.

“Excuse me, Alpha,” a deep voice came from the crowd, and I turned to see who it was. It was Dante Oberon, one of the five Pack Elders. He was in his late fifties and the second oldest Elder.

“What did you have to say?" Fenrir's voice held no respect whatsoever for the elderly man. He was like a brute. A good-looking brute. What is it with his man? what imprudence?!

Elder Dante didn't let his rudeness bother him as he continued to speak. “Having a wedding tonight is not possible.”

Fenrir immediately stood up, his imposing figure casting a shadow over everyone as a deep frown formed on his face. “Why?”

“The death of her parents forbids it,” he replied.

“It's true, Alpha,” Elder Cross Everon, the fourth Elder, agreed. “It's considered taboo and bad luck to marry on the day of a funeral.”

“Yes,” Everyone agreed.

“It's true."

“I don't care,” of course.

“But, Alpha—” Rudolph began, but Fenrir interrupted him.

“I already said, I don't care!” He growled.

My body is in shock, but I know I can't bring more bad luck on the obvious one I already have…

I turned to him. “Please,” yes, I begged.

Even if I'm forced into this marriage, I don't want it to be filled with more misery.

He veered around to me, his stoic expression still present in his eyes.

I felt a lump in my throat as I looked into his eyes, searching for any hint of empathy. “It's... an abomination,” I started, “if this marriage happens... our... our future will be affected.”

He raised an eyebrow at me, and I let out a sigh. “Even our... the pups,” I reluctantly added.

He had a puzzled expression for a moment, as if he couldn't grasp what I meant, but then he let out a small chuckle.

I despise seeing that smirk on his face.

“Another day then, but soon,” he said, his voice filled with satisfaction about what I said. Pups? With a monster like him? Heaven forbid it, I wouldn't even entertain the thought of giving my body to him, let alone having... his pups!

I only said that to convince him, nothing more. And he better not even dare to dream about it!

I looked up and watched him confidently striding away from the throne room, everyone making way for him. Look at him, not a shred of respect in him. Pushing past even the elders themselves.

“Marsai,” he called, and inwardly I frowned. What could it be now?

I turned to him, expecting him to leave, but it seemed like he wanted me to join him.

Reluctantly, I made my way towards him as he stood by the door, waiting for me. When I reached him, he forcefully grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the room.

We walked in silence down the hallway, and I avoided making eye contact with him. My gaze wandered elsewhere, exploring the walls—I longed for an escape.

“Take me to your room.” I heard him say and my head snapped around to face him.

“What?” What the hell is he saying?

He insisted, “Take me to your room, Marsai."

Fear gripped me as I saw my sorrowful reflection in his eyes. My room, bring him to my room? Absolutely not!

I stood my ground, glaring at him, but it became clear that he wouldn't budge.

With reluctance, I started walking, and he followed.

“Was I really going to bring him to my room? Did I even have a choice?” I sighed, feeling the pain in my body from the stress and the ache in my head from all the tears.

Finally, I arrived at the door to my room and opened it, stepping aside for him to enter. He glanced around, his dark eyes taking in everything.

He closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath.

“What scent do you wear?” he inquired, and I furrowed my brows. What an odd question!

“Uh... roses,” I replied, and he looked at me with curiosity.

“Where are they grown?” he asked, his gaze fixed on me.

“They come from wild roses in the mountains,” I answered honestly, watching as a smile formed on his face while he continued to explore my bedroom.

His smile irritated me. How could he still smile? Doesn't he have any empathy?

I stood by the open door, thinking about my next move. “Marsai, don't be foolish now. Oh... Marsai, this is your chance.” Run.

With just two more steps, I sprinted away like the wind. Who needs shoes? They flew off my feet in seconds.

I raced through the entire house, darting behind pillars, zig-zagging in case he was chasing me. I didn't even know why I was doing it, maybe it was the adrenaline pumping through my veins. I found the back door and headed towards the woods.

Stones pricked my feet, but I kept running. The snow stung my skin, but I didn't stop. The Moon still hung in the sky, making me wonder if time had even passed.

Taking a deep breath, I shifted into my wolf form, my dress tearing and hanging in tatters. But it didn't matter, I didn't care.

I glanced ahead, just a few steps from the border. Once I crossed it, I'd be safe. But just as I started to feel relief, I heard the loudest howl ever. Before I could react, I was knocked to the ground.

The pain was intense, but the fear gripping me was even worse. I stared up at the massive black wolf pinning me down as I whimpered in terror.

The anger in Fenrir's wolf eyes shook me to my core, and I was petrified that his sharp claws would end my life.
