Chapter 4:- Wedding

“Promise me, you’ll be safe,” my brother said.

I smiled. “I’ll be safe, Ned.”

Suddenly, my car crashed into something, sending me to the edge of the bridge. I peeked at the river below and then something happened I never expected. I was in the water, drowning deeper and deeper. I threw my arms and legs desperately to get out of it. I was fighting for every last bit of air, but all I could see was water. I gasped and gasped and gasped……

My eyes shot open, and a scream escaped my mouth. I gasped, my breath labored and my heart was pounded harder. It took me a few minutes to realize; I was not in the water. No water! Only darkness, it was darkness everywhere. Moonlight was the only source of light through the small window.

Where am I?

The last thing I remembered, I was about to fall into the river, but someone yanked me out of the car at the last second.

But who?

Suddenly, the door creaked open, and the light hit my face. I winced because of the bright light piercing directly into my eyes. I brought a hand over my face, preventing the glare of light. I looked down at dirty yellowish sheets under me where I was sitting. I immediately got off the bed and stood up. All of a sudden, light illuminated the room.

I looked around at the concrete walls, dirty floor, and dirty bed.

I stepped further but stumbled when someone hit my shoulder and the next moment I landed on the harsh floor. A cry escaped my mouth due to a sharp pain shot through my spine. Grimacing, I looked up at the person who had hit me. But a group of people in black suits, towering over me.

And fresh terror gripped my chest when the realization hit me hard. Luther? They were Luther’s men. And I was at the mercy of Luther!

“What do you want?” I swallowed hard and watched the black suit men who gathered around me.

I dragged my body back away from them as they were stepping towards me.

“What do you want?” I cried out and tears gathered in my eyes.

“You!” A dangerous and dark voice echoed in the room.

Slowly, men parted on either side of the room, making room for that man. A chill ran down my spine when he stepped in front of me, tall and dark.

Luther Spraggins!

He towered over me, his black and polished shoes stopped just before me. I didn’t look into his eyes because I didn’t have enough courage. I feared him! He was a murderer, kidnapper, and rapist!

“Look at me, bitch!” He snarled and my hands balled into fists.

When I didn’t look, he kneeled in front of me and tilted his head so that he could stare into my eyes. My heart missed a beat when I met his eyes. His hostile eyes were only giving me chilling. He was staring at me like he wanted to kill me right at that moment.

“Where is he?” He asked calmly despite the rage burning inside him.

“Who?” I asked, despite knowing who he was talking about.

His jaw tightened as he narrowed his eyes on me. “Your brother?”

I swallowed hard. My hands trembled. “I...I don’t know,” I stuttered.

He shot out his hand and grabbed the back of my head, weaving his fingers in my hair, and then yanked my head up to him to look into his angry eyes. “Tell me where the fuck is he?” He growled in my ear, making me shudder in fear. “Tell me now!”

I whimpered as a sharp pain shot through my skull. “I. I won’t..” My voice was barely audible. I shook my head, and tears seeped down my cheeks.

“You’re playing with fire, huh?” He hissed, glaring at me. “Tell me, darling, if you love your pitiful life.”

I winced. “I’ll never tell you!”

The next moment, he grabbed his pistol and pressed it on my temple, snarling, “Are you going to tell me or else you wish for death?”

“I want to die…” I cried out as begging him to kill me and let me free from the pain I had been suffering for a few years.

His face flushed, and a vein popped out in his neck. He pressed the gun in my forehead, wanting to kill me right that moment, but something snapped inside him when his eyes fell on my body, and a cruel smile curved his lips.

He met my eyes, sneering. “Not before tasting you!”

And I froze, shocked.

Before I gathered the courage to speak, he leaned forward. His mouth went to my ear, and sucked the sensitive spot of my ear, giving me goosebumps all over my body. “Not before sinking my cock in your tight pussy.”

My eyes snapped at him. I immediately pushed him away and backed off him.

“Are…Are you going to rape me?” I trembled, swallowing hard. My throat turned dry.

“I’m going to marry you and then fuck you!” He snapped and stepped closer to me. I shivered when his eyes ran down my body. “Someone has to compensate for your brother’s fault.” He lifted his hand and stroked my lips through his fingers. “You have a couple of hours to take a rational decision.”

My breath shook.

“Either you tell me about your brother or be my slave forever,” he whispered. His eyes lingered on my lips for more than a second.

I looked away, feeling self-conscious under his scrutiny.

After a moment, he spun around and stalked off the room.

“You look so beautiful, honey,” Mary said, admiring me. She was the one who had helped me to get ready for this wedding ceremony.

Wedding ceremony! I couldn’t believe it.

Tears fell from my eyes as I balled my hands into fists.

I didn’t want to marry him!

“Are you alright?” She placed her hands over my shoulder, catching me through the mirror.

I lifted my eyes and looked at myself in the mirror. I was in a white strapless gown that was hugging me like a second skin. It was showing off every curve of my body. I hate this kind of dress! My jaw flexed as I looked further. My light brown hair styled into soft curls, and scarlet red lipstick stood out against my ivory skin. My freckles had disappeared due to make-up. I looked like a completely different person. The girl who was staring into the mirror was not me!

“Oh, darling, why are you crying?”

“I don’t want to marry him,” I whispered, and more tears welled in my eyes.

“You have to.”

I turned to her and held her hands. “Please help me get out of this place,” I begged.

Her eyes fell into sadness. “Only dead bodies get out of this place, darling. Luther is completely insane. Making him angry is just asking for death. Remember one thing: Don’t upset him if you want to live.”

“I don’t want to live!” I cried out. “I’d rather die than marry that monster.”

“You should have told him about your brother. Maybe after this, he’ll set you free.”

I shook my head and bit into my lower lip as I tried not to cry. “My brother is all I have.…” before I could complete myself someone knocked on the door.

I turned my head to the door and saw one of Luther’s men was waiting for me. He probably was here to pick me.

“God bless you.” Mary caressed my hair and kissed my cheek.

I wiped my tears away and pushed myself to the door. As long as I approached there two men in black suits escorted me on either side.

I walked down the aisle slowly, and my body was shaking uncontrollably. I didn’t look up, but I could feel the hall was empty. A tall figure was standing on the altar and waiting for me.

As long as I reached there, a warm hand took mine and guided me to face the priest. I didn’t look at Luther, but I could feel his eyes on me. He was staring at me.

“You look beautiful and I can’t wait to be inside you.” Hair lifted on my nape when I heard his dark voice.

My hand was trembling in his, evidence of how much he was making me uncomfortable.

We stood side by side and performed the ceremony of our marriage. When it was time for the rings, he slipped a beautiful diamond ring onto my finger.

Tears were streaming in my eyes, but I didn’t wipe them away. It was happening so fast that it felt unreal. I was his wife now. I had done this for my brother. Just for him!

When it was my turn to complete the exchange, a man held out a ring next to me. I took out the ring and was about to slip it onto Luther’s finger, but he immediately snatched it from my hand and slipped it on himself.

I looked at him. His eyes narrowed and his jaw clenched. He didn’t want me to wear him that ring.

The ceremony happened in the blink of an eye, and then it was over. Then it was time for the worse part. Kissing the bride.

My heart was pounding so hard that it hurt. My breath turned rapid.

“Congratulations, Mrs.Spraggins,” Luther whispered and grabbed a handful of my hair before pulling me into a kiss. My heart stopped in my chest the second his lips touched mine. He kissed me roughly, shoving his tongue in my mouth and letting me taste his wine. He sucked my bottom lip into his mouth harshly, and my chest heaved. He kissed me for a couple of minutes before he pulled himself back and looked into my eyes, his eyes darkened with a hunger that gave a chill down my spine.
