But they're so cruel doing that to a child. So what if he's a werewolf? He's still a kid for crying out loud. Lexi's reaction is definitely legit because I would've crashed out as well

•Third Person POV• The approaching footsteps belonged to Tomas. He burst through the trees, eyes wild with panic. The sight that greeted him stopped him cold. Lexi...his sister.. was wrapped in a dark cloak, barely conscious, slumped against the rogue, Kaelen. Tomas’s reaction was explosive. “You!” he roared, lunging forward. “You’re the one who took her!” He grabbed Lexi’s arm and yanked her away from Kaelen, pulling her behind him. With his free hand, he drew his dagger, the blade coated in wolfsbane, and pointed it at the rogue. “Stay away from her, beast!” Lexi was barely conscious, still recovering from the heat. Her body trembled as she tried to speak. “Tomas… wait… it’s not—” Her voice was too weak. The words barely left her lips. More footsteps approached.. the hunters drawn by the noise. Tomas was distracted for a split second. In that moment, Kaelen vanished into the woods like a shadow. Tomas spun around, but the rogue was already gone. He cursed u

    • THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V • The silver she-wolf stood frozen beneath the moonlight, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She didn't understand what she had become. Every instinct screamed at her to run. A low growl rumbled deep in her throat as she fixed her eyes on the man standing several feet away. Gretonia remained perfectly calm. His cane rested lightly against the forest floor while several cloaked men stood hidden among the trees behind him. None of them moved. Neither did he. His sharp blue eyes studied the silver wolf with quiet fascination. A faint smile touched his lips. "You've finally awakened." The she-wolf bared her fangs. She took a cautious step backward. Gretonia noticed everything. The way her ears twitched at every sound. The uncertainty in her stance. The fear hidden beneath the aggression. This was her first shift. She was trying to survive. His smile deepened. "The Moon Princess..." He spoke so softly it almost sounded like he was talking to himsel

THE NEXT DAY.... • THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V • Morning sunlight filtered through the towering pines of the Hidden Valley, casting long shadows across the rogues' settlement. It should have been peaceful. Instead, a chilling howl shattered the silence. Every wolf in the valley froze. Another howl answered it. Then another. Garrick's head snapped toward the northern border. "Invasion!" Within seconds, rogue warriors poured from their cabins, weapons drawn. Others shifted into massive wolves, their snarls echoing through the valley as they rushed toward the entrance. Beyond the treeline stood nearly twenty wolves. Their fur was darker than night, their eyes wild with bloodlust. The crest burned into the leather armor worn by those still in human form left no room for doubt. The Vile Fang Clan. At their front stood an enormous black wolf, larger than the others, his crimson eyes fixed on the valley. Without warning, the beast leaped forward and the rest followed.

🫶 LEXI 🫶 I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling while the same words echoed over and over inside my head. "Find our mate." Sleep never came, even though I closed my eyes tightly forcing myself to go to sleep. The voice hadn't sounded like my own thoughts. It had sounded...real, almost as if someone had spoken directly into my mind. I turned onto my side and slowly reached for my left shoulder. The bruise was still there. My fingertips brushed over the dark mark and I winced. It still hurt, but not as badly as before. I could still see Kaelen collapsing beneath the silver arrow. Somehow... I'd felt every bit of it. "Mate...?" The unfamiliar word slipped quietly from my lips. I'd not heard it before. But I'm sure I've seen it somewhere. In books. Yeah....old stories buried deep inside the hunters' archives. Stories about creatures. Werewolves specifically. Most hunters dismissed those books as myths and fairy tales. Pa had even ordered many of the

🫶 LEXI 🫶 A sharp, burning pain exploded through my left shoulder. "Ahhh!" I cried out and collapsed onto my knees, clutching the spot as though something had pierced straight through me. It hurt. It hurt so much. My breathing became ragged as wave after wave of agony shot through my body. "W-Why...?" My fingers dug into my shoulder. There was no wound. No blood either. Then why did it feel like I'd been struck? My eyes lifted to look at him. The black wolf staggered away from me, a silver arrow buried deep in his shoulder. Blood dripped onto the forest floor as his legs trembled beneath him. A low whine escaped him. My heart clenched. Without thinking, I crawled toward him. "...Kaelen." The name slipped from my lips before I even realized I'd spoken it. Around us, the battlefield fell silent. Hunters stared. No one understood what they were seeing. Neither did I. Why... Why did his injury hurt me? Another wave of pain ripped through my shoulder.

    • THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V • Branches whipped past as Lexi ran deeper into the Whispering Woods. The screams echoed inside her mind, growing louder with every step. Steel clashed against steel. Wolves howled. Hunters shouted orders. Above it all came a cry that twisted her stomach into knots. Homura. She couldn't explain how she knew it was her. She just did. Her feet moved instinctively, weaving between ancient trees and thick undergrowth with surprising ease. It was as though the forest itself was guiding her toward the chaos. Behind her, another figure burst through the trees. "Lexi!" It was Tomas. He pushed branches aside as he chased after his sister, his breathing growing heavier with every stride. "Lexi, stop!" She didn't even look back. "Lexi!" His voice reached her ears clearly despite the distance between them. She knew exactly how far behind he was. She could hear every hurried breath, every footstep crushing fallen leaves, every heartbeat poundin
