Chapter 29: Rejected clue

he heavy rain splattered against the black umbrella didn’t stop the vigilant gaze from piercing through the crowd. Amor stood there and calculated that the murder of a witch, a rogue in his territory, could lead to a war between witches and wolves.

Whatever was there, something big was coming their way, challenging their existence. An unexpected encounter in the woods followed by these murders. Could he be the one behind all this? Or is someone else involved in this game?

“Did you find the head?” Amor questioned, looking at Jasper.

“Yeah, down the alley.”

“Was it a pack member?” Amor was raised as an alpha. It was his responsibility to protect everyone in his pack.

“No, he was a rogue.” His scrunched brows didn’t halt with further queries. He sniffed the jacket Jasper was holding.

“The woman was a witch. Someone else was there,” Jasper added.
