Chapter 26

Caleb’s POV

Standing outside my cabin door with my forehead pressed against the coldness of the big oak door as I tried to steady my breathing. I had almost lost control of my wolf as I stared into her eyes. Eyes that I had prayed to the Moon Goddess every night after I had found her would open. The girl had the most breathtaking ice blue eyes I have ever seen. I found myself unable to pull away from their gaze and I was losing myself to her. I wanted nothing more in this world but to mark her as mine but unfortunately, she doesn’t even know she is a wolf. Or is she? When I had found her, I could smell a faint scent of a wolf on her but as time went on the scent dwindled and not even a hint of a wolf remained. I wondered if the accident could have caused her to not only lose her memory but also her wolf. Wolf or no wolf I knew the minute I picked her up off the ground and held her in my arms that she was my mate and I had to save her life.

Now standing here alone I stand on my own
