Seventeen: Betrayed EIRA I can’t sleep. Tears leak from the corners of my eyes, cold air nipping at my skin. Soft sand filters through my fingers as I stare at the thick brushes, and trees in the distance. It’s my fault. I should’ve fought harder against the pull, I should’ve stopped myself. And it’s all my fault. The truth is, I can say no. I can tell Alpha David to talk with Cassian. I can choose not to go. But… I’m at the mercy of the bond. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
