LOGINNora's POV
“Becca…” Alpha Fauz called.
Becca? Who the heck is she? Something about her seems offsetting.
Before Alpha Fauz could speak, someone whom I presumed to be the head maid came forward.
“Your Highness,” the old maid bowed. “The mating chamber has been prepared... The union must be consummated tonight. It is an essential ritual that …”
“Enough!” Alpha Fauz roared and the maid jumped, startled.
“Why must everything be rites and rituals?” he snapped.
“Fated mate! Marking! Mating... And… Can't anything take a natural course? Leave my presence!” He barked and the maid fled.
But Becca stayed. Her lips twitching as she watched with open fascination. From the look in her eyes, I could tell she was having a blast.
“And you?” Alpha Fauz advanced on her.
She rolled her eyes lazily. “Your calming tea has been served, my Alpha. It's rose, your favorite flavor.”
“Get lost.” Alpha Fauz gritted with deadly calm
Becca shivered, then sent me a poisonous smirk before sauntering away.
As she vanished, Alpha Fauz turned to me. His lips curved into a devilish smirk as he stepped closer.
“This is insane, isn’t it?” he murmured.
“I’m losing my mind because of you. But as things stand… we must complete the mating ritual, Tonight.” He emphasized the last part.
A chill slid down my spines and my throat tightened. His eyes glowed dangerously intense as they swept over me.
In one swift motion, he closed the distance between us.
Without warning, he pulled me into his arms and lifted me off the ground as if I weighed nothing.
“Put me down!” I struggled, kicking and pushing, but he didn’t bulge.
He carried me into some premises, kicked a door open and headed for a dimly lit room.
He tossed down and I landed on a soft, fluffy bed.
I scrambled back up, pressing myself against the wall.
“Sweet heart, it seems you still don't get it. You are mine,” he said darkly, “Not some obnoxious Alpha’s”
“How dare you!” I gritted.
He scoffed. "You bare my mark ion your neck. You belong to me, Now!’
His hand closed around the fabric of my gown. I tugged at the edges frantically and I heard him chuckle.
With a single, brutal pull, he tore the gown off my body.
Alpha Fauz's POV
Nora's gown pooled in my hands before slipping down her body. What a joke! I couldn't believe a heavy gown as such was barely strapped to her body.
My gaze traced her form and lingered on the exposed white lace bra. Its white strap gripped her tiny waist firmly while the cups barely held her bulging boobs.
I smacked my lips in fascination, and gazed at her nipples. They were dark and stood out against her porcelain skin. They looked hard and they seemed taunt already.
My eyes twinkled. Heat surged through me and I clenched my jaw. My wolf surged and I felt my dick pulsating.
I let down my arms and clasped them hands around her shoulders, forcing her in place. Then I noticed, she had stopped struggling.
“Tired already? I thought you packed more fights than this, my sweet little archer!” I taunted her.
She remained quiet and looked past me with unholy calm, one that unnerved me.
“Quit the act,” I mumbled and drew closer to her. Then her essence washed over me again. That scent of rose and lilac. They filled my senses washing over me like a drug. I felt my body relax instantly, just like Becca’s tea always did.
I shut my eyes, savoring the scent. When my eyes flipped open, I let my gaze drift upward until I beheld my mark on her neck.
She is mine now, I smirked. But then I saw the rough edges of my mark on her neck. Guilt flooded me as I remembered how rough I had marked her. I was too harsh.
At a closer look, I realised that she was trying hard to hold herself together, she was trembling.
I wanted to push her on the bed, and claim all of her all night, but her innocence twisted something inside me.
It wasn't supposed to go down like this. Our first night should be sacred, not forced, not broken, not poisoned by anger and jealousy.
Pitman's intrusion caused it all!
What a twisted tribe he is! Who goes to watch his bride being taken away?
I heaved a sigh and stepped back. I picked up the torn gown and threw it at her.
“Cover yourself,” I said coldly. “And do not appear before me again unless summoned.”
Her eye brows flipped up in relief. She stared at me in disbelief, clutching the gown against her chest.
I gave her another look and turned to leave, but stopped.
“To everyone, the mating ritual happened tonight,” I said, turning slowly towards her. “If you want to remain alive and by my side, no one must know what truly happened here.”
Her eyes glittered and she looked away from me, stunned.
“As for the proof of your virginity… the elders would want it… we need to make up a proof… a blood stained bedsheet…”
Then it struck me hard on the face. She had been with Pitman… shel couldn't still have her virginity.
Anger and jealousy coursed through me for what I couldn't have. She is mine and I deserved every bit of her.
“Your virginity…” I scoffed, “Who knows if you still have it…” she looked away and didn't utter a word.
“With whatever means… get blood on the bed sheet to save your head.” I said and stormed out of the room.
As I stepped into the darkness, I saw a human figure retreating. Whoever it was must have been lurking around the mating chambers. They must have heard all that went down between Nora and me.
I dipped my hand into my inner sheath and retrieved a dart.
The intruder took to their heels, but I fired.
“Aah!”
A feminine cry pierced the silent night as the intruder collapsed forward, hitting the cold stone floor with a faint thud.
Fauz’s POVThe pack felt wrong without her.Too quiet.Too empty.Too… still.Three days passed.Or maybe four.I stopped counting.Sleep never came. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw her falling again — her body disappearing beyond the cliff, her scream echoing in my skull. I would jolt awake, claws half-formed, breath ragged, heart racing. The bond remained.Weak.Distant.Alive.That was the only thing keeping me from tearing the mountains apart myself.I hadn’t left the pack lands since returning, but that didn’t mean I was still.I prowled. From the gates to the training grounds. From the training grounds to the border towers. From the towers to the cells.Back again.Again.Again.The warriors avoided my path. Omegas lowered their heads and scattered when I passed. Even the Betas spoke in hushed tones. My aura leaked constantly, heavy and unstable, pressing down on everyone.I snapped at everything.A guard who hesitated at the gate.A soldier who reported late.A scout who ret
Fauz’s POV“Nora!”My voice tore through the forest again, raw and hoarse. Birds scattered violently from the treetops, but no answer came back. No movement. No scent.Nothing.I pushed forward through the undergrowth, branches snapping against my shoulders. My boots slid over loose earth as I followed what little instinct remained in the bond.It pulsed.Faint.Distant.Alive.But slipping farther away.I stopped abruptly, breathing hard. My chest rose and fell like I had run for miles, but I refused to slow. I scanned the ground again — no blood, no broken shrubs, no tracks. Whoever took her knew what they were doing. They erased everything.Rage clawed up my throat.“Nora!” I roared again.Only the wind answered. My wolf slammed against my ribs, restless, violent, desperate. He wanted to shift. To run. To hunt. But the terrain was wrong — rocky slopes, scattered cliffs, too dangerous for speed.I kept moving.Hours blurred.I climbed ridges.I descended ravines.I crossed dry river
Nora’s POVThe world spun.Air tore past me as my body tumbled down the cliff, rock scraping against my arms, my back, my legs. Pain exploded everywhere at once. My fingers clawed at nothing but loose gravel.I tried to shift.I tried to call my wolf. But terror shattered my focus.A jagged rock slammed into my side and knocked the breath from my lungs. My vision blurred. My body rolled again, faster, then—Impact.Everything stopped. For a moment, there was nothing. No sound. No pain. Just darkness pressing in from all sides. Then agony returned all at once.A broken gasp tore from my throat. My chest burned. My head throbbed violently. My right leg refused to move. Warm liquid slid down my temple into my eye.Blood.I blinked, trying to see.The sky above me looked far away, framed by sharp rocks and dry shrubs. The fall… I had fallen far. Too far.“F… Fauz…” I whispered, but my voice came out as air.The bond flickered weakly. Distant. Faint. He was alive. Close… but not close enou
Fauz’s POV“Recall everyone!” I thundered. The command rippled through the woods. Horns sounded from different points along the cliff. Men began emerging from the slopes, abandoning the search and gathering toward us.I didn’t move. My eyes remained fixed on the broken shrubs. When the last of the men gathered, I faced them.“Listen,” I said, and every head bowed.“This is no longer a rescue operation. This is a breach of the territory. It's an act of war, an attack on the Luna, an attack on me.” My aura flared, pressing down on them.“We are shutting everything down.” I said, looking them in the eyes.“No entry and no exit in and out of the packlands. No patrols leave the borders. No trader enters. Seal the gates! Lock down the pack lands! Tighten the security.”“Yes, Alpha!”“I want eyes on every road, every mountain pass, and even the secret and forbidden paths!”“Yes, Alpha!”“No one enters without my permission. No one leaves without my permission.”The men roared in agreement.I
Fauz's POVI disregarded Gaius and walked slowly towards the edge of the cliff. My boots reached the edge, and I looked down. There was nothing, just jagged stones far below. The bond pulled again faintly. Relief crashed into me and my knees nearly buckled. “She’s alive…”“Alpha!” Gaius’ voice came from behind. I gripped the hilt of my sword, and flipped it out of its sheath as I turned around.I lowered my sword, aiming for Gaius' neck. He gasped in fear and fell to his knees.“My Alpha!” He shook.“What have you done!” I thundered.“I have failed you!” He trembled.Failed me? This was more than failing to save the Luna! He orchestrated the ambush! I pressed the sword deeper against his neck, blood dripped and I pressed harder.“ I sent you here to man the front. Where were you?! I thundered. He remained silent and unfazed. Confusion and wariness sliacross his face. But I did not give room for doubt. I will prove his betrayal but not here, not now.I withdrew the sword from his neck
Fauz's POV My horse galloped hard beneath me, its hooves struck the earth with repeated thud. Wind tore past my face as I rode through the outer plains, but I did not slow down. Every second lost felt like Nora would slip beyond my reach. Why did I stall? I should have gone to her when I sent the healer earlier. I had thought I could wait until nightfall, but I couldn't. I was restless and my face was restless too. I couldn't stop thinking that I was the one who made her fall sick. “She is sick because of the cold palace,” the words continued to bang through my head as the horse galloped. Finally, I was doing the needful. I have removed her from the cold palace and I am going to meet her, I muttered to myself.Thinking about her, a strange calm spread across my chest. I wide grin cut across my face and I pulled the reins harder.I had just covered a few more grounds when a searing pain ripped through my heart. The bond snapped, and pain exploded through my chest.I jerked violently i

Nora’s POVBy the time the lamps were lit outside my chamber, I had washed my face twice. I braided my hair tightly, and changed into a simpler gown. Let's say I am Luna in name alone, then I would at least look like one.I stood before the mirror, staring at my reflection. My eyes were swollen, an
Nora's POV I woke up with a strange heaviness in my limbs. For a moment, I couldn’t remember why my head felt foggy. Then the memories returned in fragments. Becca’s gentle voice, the warmth of the tea in my palms, the way my eyelids had grown unbearably heavy.I must have been more exhausted than
