Lucas
The night hung heavy with tension as I paced the dimly lit room, the storm outside mirroring the tempest that raged within me.
Damn, I got the wrong wife. How stupid.
"You fool! Do you not see what you've done?" The voice that erupted from within me was not my own, but that of the wolf that resided within my very being. Its anger was palpable, a violent force that surged against the barriers I had erected to keep it at bay.
I clenched my fists, my jaw tight with frustration. "This is not the time, wolf. I need to think, to figure out how to fix this."
The wolf's laughter was a chilling echo in my mind.
"Think? You dare to speak of thinking when you've jeopardized our mate, our Luna?" The wolf's growl was ferocious, a guttural sound that sent shivers down my spine. My wolf is very irritable, its strength is very strong, sometimes it can even control my body when my consciousness is weak, that's why I seal it.
I gritted my teeth, my patience wearing thin. "You know nothing of what I've been through. You are a part of me, but you are not me. I will find a way to make this right."
The wolf's snarl was feral, its rage evident in every syllable. "Make it right? You had her in your grasp, and you let her slip away! Our mate, the one we've been searching for, and you let her leave!"
I closed my eyes, struggling to maintain control over the tumultuous emotions that threatened to consume me. The wolf's anger was a mirror to my own, a reflection of the guilt and regret that gnawed at my insides.
"You don't understand the complexities of this situation," I hissed through clenched teeth. "I need time to figure out the best course of action."
The wolf's laughter was bitter, a cruel sound that reverberated within me. "Time? Time is a luxury we can't afford. She's out there, alone and hurt, because of your foolishness."
My fists trembled with the effort it took to hold back the violent force that surged within me. I had known that the wolf's awakening would come with challenges, but I had never anticipated the depth of its fury.
"I will find her," I declared, my voice a low growl that matched the wolf's intensity. "But I will do it on my terms, in a way that ensures her safety."
The wolf's snarl was a warning, its presence a constant reminder of the struggle that lay ahead. "Do not forget, human, that I am a part of you. Our fate is intertwined, and our mate is out there, vulnerable and alone. We cannot afford to let her slip through our fingers."
The room felt suffocating, I knew that the wolf's urgency was not unfounded, that its anger was born from a place of fierce protection.
But I also knew that I couldn't let its violent impulses dictate my actions. I had worked too hard to control the wolf's primal instincts, to keep it at bay and ensure that my choices were my own.
"Fine," I conceded, my voice edged with frustration. "I will find her, but I will not allow you to take control. Now, back to where you should be."
”Where should I be? What the fuck are you talking about, we wouldn't have lost our mate if you hadn't sealed me! You stupid guy!“
My wolf got more emotional, and his low growl made my head buzz, "Shut up, I'm so irritable right now, I don't have time to talk to you. If you really want me to find our mate, please be quiet."
The wolf's growl softened, its presence less aggressive as it considered my words. "As long as you do not dally, human. Our mate's safety is of utmost importance."
I took a deep breath, my resolve solidifying. "Agreed. Now, let us find a way to locate her, to mend the damage that has been done."
As the storm outside raged on, a different kind of storm raged within me.
The night was heavy with rain as I made my way through the forest, each step echoing the turmoil within me. My wolf was irritable, a constant barrage of scolding thoughts filling my mind. I had allowed myself to be deceived, to fall for a ruse that had shattered the illusions I held.
My wolf's voice was relentless, a harsh reminder of my own mistakes. "You let her play you like a puppet, Lucas. You let your instincts guide you astray."
I clenched my fists, the raindrops mixing with the anger that simmered beneath the surface. "I know, okay? I messed up."
The voice persisted, its reproach unyielding. "You should have seen through her lies. You should have been more vigilant."
The journey to the Silver Moon Clan was both a necessity and a punishment. I needed to find Ariana, to clear the air and offer an explanation, but I also needed to escape the constant barrage of self-criticism that my wolf provided.
As I arrived at the Silver Moon Clan, I was met with questioning gazes from Ariana's parents. Their concern was palpable, their curiosity evident in their eyes. And then, the voice within me, my wolf's anger boiling over. "Go to Ariana's room now!“
"Alpha Lucas, why didn't you stay with Seraphina on your wedding night?" her mother inquired, a hint of confusion in her tone.
My wolf growled internally, its fury seeping into my thoughts. I struggled to find the words, my own anger mirrored in the eyes of my wolf.
"I didn't stay with Seraphina because she's not my partner," I snapped, unable to contain the frustration that burned within me. "My chosen mate is Ariana."
The declaration hung in the air, a moment of tense silence settling over the room. Her parents exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of surprise.
"And where is Ariana now?" Alpha Andrew asked, his voice edged with concern.
"I don't know," I replied, my frustration deepening. "I came here to find her."
As I left the presence of Ariana's parents, the anger of my wolf intensified. It was as if the beast within me was a reflection of my own inner turmoil, a constant reminder of the consequences of my own actions.
I found myself standing before the door to Ariana's room, my heart racing in anticipation. I knocked, my thoughts swirling with a mixture of anxiety and hope.
But when the door swung open, the room was empty, the absence striking me like a physical blow. My wolf's anger reached a crescendo, its fury directed at both Ariana and myself.
"She's gone," my wolf spat, its voice a harsh whisper in my mind.
I clenched my fists, frustration warring within me. "I have to find her."
"It's too late, you fuck broke our mate's heart, you rejected her, so she leave. I'm so mad at you, you bastard!"
Ariana’s POVWe spent a few more moments basking in the warmth of the morning sun, relishing the simple joys of family. Then, our daughter's curiosity got the better of her, and she turned to us with an innocent yet probing question. "Mama, Papa, when will you give me a little brother?"Lucas and I exchanged amused glances. Our daughter's fascination with the idea of siblings had been growing steadily. I couldn't help but tease Lucas, knowing how he always enjoyed playing along. "Well, darling," I began, "that's something your Papa and I will have to think about."Lucas grinned, his eyes dancing with mischief. "Indeed, Ariana. Maybe we'll have to consult the moon and the stars for the right time."Our daughter, however, was having none of it. She stamped her furry paw on the ground playfully. "Come on, you two! You're just trying to avoid giving me a straight answer."Lucas chuckled and ruffled her fur affectionately. "You're too smart for your own good, little one."With a shy grin,
Ariana’s POV"During my time with the Black Moon Clan, I learned of a secret recipe, an antidote to the wolf poison they use to corrupt our kind. It's a well-guarded secret among their ranks, but I managed to obtain it."My eyes widened in surprise. An antidote to the wolf poison? That could be a game-changer for our clan. "Seraphina, that's incredible,"Seraphina's expression was filled with regret. "I was lost in my own darkness. I didn't think I deserved to be a part of our clan's salvation. But now, I want to make amends, and I want to help our people."I reached out and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Seraphina, it's never too late to do the right thing. We're grateful that you've decided to share this with us."In the days that followed, Seraphina shared with me a secret recipe, an antidote to the wolf poison that had plagued our clan. It was a valuable gift, one that could potentially save lives in the future. I was grateful for her willingness to share it, a symbol
Ariana’s POVThe events that unfolded after Rennes' death had left an indelible mark on my heart. After Lucas had taken Rennes' life in a bloody and brutal battle, the Black Moon Clan was left leaderless, their power broken, and their aggression quelled. The once fearsome werewolves now seemed like lost souls, seeking refuge in the shadows, no longer daring to initiate wars. Lucas carried the weight of guilt upon his broad shoulders. He couldn't forget the monstrous frenzy that had consumed him in the heat of battle, the very thing he had always feared becoming. We had returned to the Blood Moon Clan, the place where Lucas had grown up, the place where he had once embraced his destiny as a warrior. But now, he couldn't face his past without seeing the reflection of a killer in his own eyes. His fears gnawed at him, worried that I would be frightened, repulsed even if I saw him for what he believed he had become.I watched Lucas from a distance, his stormy eyes distant and troubled. Hi
Ariana’s POV"Silver," I whispered softly, my voice trembling with urgency. "I need your help. Lucas is in danger, and I don't know how to save him. Please, guide me."For a moment, there was silence, and I feared that my plea had gone unanswered. But then, a deep and resonant voice echoed in my mind, filled with a sense of purpose."Ariana," the voice said, "I have been waiting for this moment. I am ready to take control and show them our true power."I gasped as I realized that the wolf within me, Silver, was responding to my call. It was eager to help, to take control of my body and use its power to save Lucas.I hesitated for only a moment, understanding the risks involved. But there was no other choice. "Alright, Silver," I said, my voice filled with determination. "Take control. Help Lucas."As I surrendered control to my wolf, I felt a surge of power unlike anything I had ever experienced before. My blood seemed to boil in my veins, and a searing pain shot through my forehead.
Ariana’s POV"Estella!" I called out, my voice filled with hope as I recognized her.But there was no response. Estella's eyes were empty, devoid of recognition or emotion. She moved towards us like a puppet on strings, her body tense and ready to attack. My joy quickly turned to dread."Estella, it's me! It's Ariana!" I pleaded, desperate for some sign that she recognized me.But there was no mercy in her eyes. She lunged at us, and I had no choice but to defend myself. My instincts as a wolf kicked in, and I fought back, fending off Estella's attacks while trying to keep Seraphina safe on my back. The battle raged on, and it soon became clear that the Black Moon Clan's wolf people were closing in on us as well. We were outnumbered and surrounded, and the odds were stacked against us. The moon hung high in the night sky, casting an eerie glow on the chaotic scene.Lucas, always the brave and selfless one, turned to me with a serious expression. "Ariana, I'll draw away the Black Moon
Ariana’s POVAs the tension reached its peak, Rennes whistled, and a horde of Black Moon Clan werewolves, all affected by the wolf's venom, closed in on us. The cell became a chaotic battleground as Lucas transformed into a massive red wolf to defend us, outnumbered ten to one.I, too, called upon my magic, the energy within me surging as I defended against and attacked our enemies. My powers crackled in the air as I conjured protective barriers and sent bolts of energy toward the encroaching werewolves. My primary concern was keeping Seraphina safe, and I would do whatever it took to ensure her survival. The battle was fierce and unrelenting. Lucas's red wolf form was a formidable force, his powerful jaws and razor-sharp claws tearing through the ranks of Black Moon Clan werewolves. But they kept coming, their relentless attacks testing his strength and endurance.Seraphina, her fury undiminished by Rennes's betrayal, fought with a ferocity that was awe-inspiring. She unleashed her w
Ariana’s POVI couldn't help but feel a strange sense of familiarity when I looked at the Alpha, even though his mask concealed his features. It was as if I had glimpsed something in his eyes, a hint of recognition that sent a shiver down my spine. But I couldn't dwell on it; there were more pressing matters at hand. The Alpha, his voice dripping with sarcasm, turned his attention to Seraphina. "And as for you, my dear," he said, "it's a shame that you chose to betray your own kind and your own family. But in the end, you belong to the Black Moon Clan now."Seraphina's eyes filled with tears, but she held her head high, her spirit unbroken. "I may have made a mistake," she said, her voice trembling with emotion, "but I'll find a way to make amends."The Alpha's amusement seemed to grow as he continued to toy with us. "Make amends?" he mused. "Oh, my dear, you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into. You're in the lion's den now, and there's no escape."I couldn't bear to see my
Ariana’s POVLucas quickly worked on picking the lock of her cell, his hands steady despite the urgency of the situation. After what felt like an eternity, the lock clicked open. When Lucas swung open the heavy, creaking door to Seraphina's cell, I couldn't help but gasp. The sight that greeted me was shocking and heart-wrenching. There, before me, stood my once-beautiful sister, Seraphina, her face marred by a gruesome scar that cut across her forehead. The scar was a brutal reminder of the horrors she had endured at the hands of the Black Moon Clan.My breath caught in my throat as I took in the transformation that had overtaken Seraphina. She had always been strong-willed and pride, but now she looked broken and defeated. Her eyes, once filled with light and laughter, were dull and haunted. It was as if the very essence of her being had been drained away.Tears welled up in my eyes as I rushed forward, disregarding the danger of the situation. "Seraphina," I whispered, my voice tre
Ariana’s POVThe woman's voice dropped to a conspiratorial whisper. "The alchemist betrayed us. The potion he created was not what he promised. It brought chaos and destruction upon our clan. Many wolves were afflicted by a terrible curse, and the Alpha was gravely injured. It was during this crisis that the Alpha began wearing a mask."My heart sank as I connected the dots. "So, the Alpha's mask is related to the curse caused by the alchemist's potion?"The woman nodded solemnly. "Yes, dear. It was a symbol of the Alpha's shame and the reminder of our clan's darkest hour. But something else changed within the Alpha. They became intelligent, decisive, ruthless even. It was as if a new personality had taken over."The revelation sent shivers down my spine. A masked Alpha with a hidden agenda, a clan transformed by a disastrous potion, and a leader who had undergone a mysterious personality change—it was all too much to process."Why hasn't anyone in the Black Moon Clan questioned this
