Lucas Rossi
Lucas Rossi sat like a king on a throne in the comfort of his house office, slowly spinning back and forth on his leather black seat.A laptop sat on the table in front of him, a picture of the heiress he was supposed to be married to was sprawn across it's screen. The headline was of course rash as always.Billionaire CEO, Lucas Rossi allegedly calls off engagement to celebrity heiress, Alva Rogers. He didn't intend to read further than that, he had no idea how that scandal spun anyway. He didn't intend for the news to be disclosed anytime soon at all, he even expected the Rogers would simply keep silent on the matter for the mean time.A knock came on the door, interrupting his thoughts."Come in." He grumbled weakly. The door creaked open, and Luke walked in, looking as handsome as a carved image in his dark suit. "I have got bad news Lucas."Luke was an age old friend of Lucas', a personal advisor among all things at that. His position in Lucas' life was very important, no doubt."Is it the headlines?" I don't think it's that much of a problem. Luca grumbled, grabbing the cup of coffee before him without staring up."It's not the headlines." Luke gritted darkly. "Alva has been posting ill quotes about you on her I*******m story abd spurring drama, it's already hot topic on blogs. You would know that it you simply use your phone and internet for what it's meant for."Darkness clouded Lucas' eyes. "Have every single one of them deleted. Phone her parents and let them know I will bring down to the very dust, and even beneath it if they don't act very carefully.""I already did that, it should all be settled in a matter of minutes." Luke smirked devilishly, grabbing the seat in front of him and plopping majestically into it."Good." Lucas murmured, adjusting his tie. He knew he could count on Luke a every moment."You still haven't told me what I need to know though." Luke frowned in annoyance. "Why did you call it off so suddenly?""I rather not speak on the matter." Lucas grumbled."Calling it off isn't even the worse of the matter... Picking the maid?! What is wrong with you Lucas?" Luke spat."I said I rather not speak on the matter, drop it." His friend insisted coldly."No." Luke declared in return. "You won't keep this to yourself, not when it is putting everything we have worked for at risk.""Your engagement to Alva was clearly for the business benefits alone. That we are all aware of, but then going ahead to call it off and choose her maid? You didn't drink before the engagement do you?" Luke seethed."I can't get drunk." Lucas shrugged."She is a maid Lucas, I did every possible background check on her. And the worse of it is, she isn't even willing to marry you." Luke continued. "She was here in the rain and stood long enough in it to pass out and need to be attended to, that's not good enough of a hint?"Anger seeped through Lucas' very veins, he was doing his best not to think about Hazel's rejection, and her Luke was, throwing it in front of his very face. "Close this topic." He growled."You know very well discussing this with me would only he beneficial to solving the problem, avoiding it will either not fix it, or simply get it worse." Luke stared intently at him."Fine." Lucas growled, leaning into his seat."Why did you choose her?" Luke asked again.Lucas remained silent.Luke stared at him for many moments. Racking his brain for a possible reason why Lucas would have taken such actions. They were life long friends afterall, so he should know what would prompt Lucas to make such a decision."Is she..." Luke pondered out loud... Eyes shifting to the side..."your...""Yes she is." Lucas spat before the question could be completed. "Now get out before I lose it."A dark look came upon Luke, and then slowly it morphed into a sinister smile. "Really huh?""You're going about this the wrong way... You can't force her to marry you, you know?""I can." Lucas shrugged nonchalantly. He turned to his desktop and begun to stare intently, moving the cusor around like he was focused on something very crucial on the screen. But Luke suspected it was only an attempt to shy away from the topic at hand. He would not allow it though, this girl in question was far too interesting to ignore. In all his years of knowing Lucas, several too many years to count, not a single female had caught the attention of Lucas ever. Even when he had taken him to clubs, he sat alone, uninterested and looking far too intimidating to he approached by any woman. It would take a lot of cajoling to get him to even look at any one of those women. But now Hazel comes into the story, and suddenly Lucas is too eager to have her by him already."Just because you can doesn't mean you should." He continued, fingers rubbing his chin softly. He leaned forward trying to take a look at what his friend was looking at on the screen. But he stopped him abruptly."You don't have better things do right now?" Lucas glared, looking extremely fed up."Oh I do, but this is several times more interesting." Luke grinned, flashing a set of pearly white teeth."Leave." Lucas ordered, glaring sternly."Come on, tell me, why do you think she said no?" He queried further, clearly enjoying teasing his friend."How am I supposed to know?" Lucas glared, yet exasperation was written in his eyes and hidden in his voice."I mean... Every sane girl would jump at the chance of being with a billionaire like you huh? So why do you think she said no?""Is she... Not sane perhaps.""Do. Not. Make. Fun of her." Lucas glares with murderous intent."Hmm... You're already defensive." His friend murmured playfully. "Do you need tips? You already know I am good with the ladies?" He smirked devilishly."Get. Out." He growled in response."Fine, I am leaving. But you would be back soon.""Shut up and leave, Luke." He cut in."I am already out." He snapped back."Great." He breathed."Luke she is bleeding out... What do we do?" Luca stared frantically at Hazel, they had untied her and she was laying on the floor.Alva was in a corner in a pool of her own blood. So was Jace, and the demon.Luca had shifted back into a human, he carried Hazel in his arms, his heart beating frantically. He could feel her spirit fading... He could feel it in the depths of his heart. It caused him fear and panic to feel her slipping away. "I might have to bite her Luca... It is the only way." Luke breathed worriedly, "and if I do she would have Vampire venom in her, meaning she might no he able to bear you an heir."Luca stared at her on the ground where she was dying. He knew there was no time. It is now or never, he has to do something to save her. "Luke... Do whatever you can please, she is more important to me than anything in the world. I just want her to live." He begged. Luke nodded his head in understanding, he reached forward, taking her in his arms, he paused for a momen
"Wake up!" It came with a loud splash of water upon her skin. Hazel woke with a loud scream, panting and out of breath she stared into the eyes of her would be killer. She felt tears well up in her eyes. That woman....that woman in that strange dream looked like her. A lot like her. It looked as though she was being shown something..... being told a story of something that could have very much have been a previous life. She wanted to stay there, she wanted to not wake up from it. She wanted to understand her connection to that strange woman."You have the audacity to fall unconscious do you not?" Alva sneered at her. "You will not sleep for a second under my watch Hazel Jacobs, not unless it is in your death!" Alva Rogers concluded. Hazel's eyes fell to the ground, she had no words to say.Her spirit was weak and her willingness to fight and beg was already melting away. Perhaps she was starting to realize... Starting to come to terms with the fact that she could not plead her
Luke paced back and forth. He was tracing out all the details of his plan in mind, doing his absolute best to leave no stone unturned in his mission. Luca was seated in a corner of the room, food and water hand not touched his moth since his wife went missing. They were begining to fear for his wellbeing. His eyes were droopy and he was barely talking to anyone. He seemed so out of touch with his current surroundings. So much that they all feared he was already losing his mind. He would not talk at all when spoken to and any food brought before him was quickly pushed or kicked away. They learned to leave him be for a while. "Will he be okay?" Laz asked as he gazed upon his brother, his heart was filled with pity for him. None of then had ever seen Luca this way before. He was always very strong.... Always very strong in every situation... Not even once had something like this occured to anyone in there lineage for a very long time. "I believe he will..." Luke breathed. "What
"Alva you do not have to do this please I beg you." Hazel pleaded, her hand gripping the edge of her seat.Alva shook her head with a sinsiter smile written on her face as he toyed with the kinde in her hand. "You can beg all you want my dear but I already explained this to you... I have to do this. there is no other way.""Alva... you are are so out of your mind!" Hazel wailed, tears brimming at her eyes."Watch it!" Alva yelled at her, tossing a slap across her face."Argh!" Hazel winced as the pain tore through her left check, tears brimming in her eyes. Alva shook her her had at her. "I told you already, you are the one who is tied up and I am the one who has a knife so if I were you I will be very careful about whatever I am doing." she warned.Hazel whimpered as she lowered her head to the ground. she reached out to the depth of her hear, calling for Luca. He might not be a human being, but he cared for her, that she was sure of, that was enough for her. That man cared for h
When Hazel's eyes finally fluttered open, she woke up in her bed in her and Luca's room. Rays of sunlight were seeping in through her window and strangely enough, all the pain she felt from the night before was gone. The memories came rushing to her like a speeding train and her eyes widened in memory of it all. "Hazel... Are you okay?" She turned her head quickly to see Luca standing by the foot of the bed. His eyes were reddish, his hair entirely rough. He still had his clothes in from last night, stained by dirt and dust, and even a smear of blood. She stared at him with cold eyes, feeling bile rise in the back of her throat. Luca walked towards her cautiously with worried eyes, reaching for her face with his fingers. "Hazel are you okay?" He asked again. "Do not touch me." She snapped, flinching away. Luca's eyes widened, and he took a step back, watching her cautiously. "I am sorry I did not mean...""To lie to me?" She seethed, glaring daggers at him. Luca stared at he

She does not know what she will tell him when he returns but she knows what she would ask him for... The truth. One way or another, the truth has to come out tonight.By hook or by crook, she will not allow herself be left in the dark anymore by these people who absurdly believe that they knew what is best for her. Who absurdly think that leaving her in the dark is best for her! If tonight is truly a full moon as Luke had said, then either way she will find out the deal with this red book and what this mystery writer is trying to tell her. She rubbed her face with her palms wearily. She was starting to feel sleepy yet nothing would make her yield into it. Luca should be back by evening as promised. It was starting to get dark afterall, so he should be home anytime soon. They had long since stopped eating dinner downstairs at the table with
