Chapter Forty Two

Elena clenched her jaw, taking her gaze away from him before he could see her and starting her food. Her mind and brain were now in disarray, and the thoughts she had once tucked into a part of herself were now roaming freely in her head again.

“Do you want us to leave?” Silver asked.

“No! No!” Elena said, shaking her head negatively and continuing with her food.

“Anyone wants to go to that new store they just opened down the road? I heard they’re on discount prices. We should eat fast and go there.`` Gaby said, taking her fries and dipping them in the ketchup.
