“Would you like to go first, or you’ll want me to go first?” Silver said, standing up from the couch and walking away.Elena just laid there, her thoughts jumbled with her brain not thinking straight. She closed her eyes, her arms on her chest as she tried to let go of everything. She didn’t want to talk about Matthew with Silver, and she had just said that for a reason for coming to her place.“Do you want yogurts or anything?” Silver yelled out from the kitchen.“And some biscuits, yes!” Elena retorted, raising her voice a bit without opening her eyes. She would let silver talk, tell her about what she had to, and free herself from everything. Matthew wasn’t the only friend she had, and maybe it was time she got close to all her other friends and let him live the best of his love life. She opened her eyes as she heard silvers footsteps, sitting up immediately with her back straight and watching her friend till she set the tray on the table.“Thanks,” she said, picking up one of the
“Wakey, Wakey.” Clara hummed as she entered Elena’s room, tapping her legs and shaking her awake.“In the past days, you’ve been waking up so early I knew it would come down to this. Wake up, Elena; you’ll be late for school.” She added.Elena shifted in her bed, muttering incoherent words that meant she wanted to be left alone.“Matthew is already downstairs and he’s waiting for you.”The sleep in her eyes vanished immediately, seating up all of a sudden and coming to meet her mum’s eyes.“What!” She exclaimed, rubbing her eyes with her hand.Clara stared at her daughter and eyed her. She made a loud hiss before turning towards the door.“Matthew is not here. So get up and dress up before you get late. Silver called me, she’ll be here anytime from now.” She added and walked out.Elena fell back to the bed, heaving out an exhausted sigh for someone that just woke up.“Ahhhh!” She breathed out, sitting up and darting her eyes across the room. Her feet touched the ground, having another
She climbed out of Silver’s car, shutting the door with her eyes fixed on a particular spot. It was Matthew’s car and Sarah was stepping out of his passenger seat with smiles on her face. Elena clenched her jaw, feeling irritated and disgusted at her act. She was just trying to go to bed with him; why pretend about it?The thought of it and the way she felt as she saw them together made her remember one of the blog posts she saw while doing her search. ‘you’ll feel jealous and irritated when you see them with another person, especially if it’s with your gender and they’re laughing and acting cute together.’“Elena..” Silver called out as she saw her bouncing off, not even waiting for her or replying to her.Her eyes darted across the parking lot, trying to find out what could have triggered her after the smile she had managed to put on her face. At the sight of Matthew and his new girl, she sighed heavily, confirming where the problem was coming from.“They should just kiss and make u
“Where have you been?” Sarah asked Matthew as he placed his tray beside her, took his seat, and dropped his bag to the floor.“Went to the restroom.” He replied curtly.Sarah noticed something was wrong with him, and did not bother to press it again. She started a conversation with one of his friends but her mind was still on whatever was going on with him. It couldn’t be about Elena, they had both sorted that out and decided not to bring it up again. He told her while they were coming to school this morning that he'd like to get to know her more, and it was the best she had ever received in her entire life.Even thinking about it and replaying his exact words in her brain made a smile bloom on her face. She had liked him since the first year of school, always checking him out, wanting to get closer to him and be his friend. But everytime she tried to get closer to him, she was always there. She was a late bloomer, resumed later than the rest of them but he was her first friend. They
“Thank you so much for taking care of her.” Clara, Elena’s mom, said as the nurse helped her with Elena inside the car. “You’re welcome. Just keep her warm and check on her from time to time.” The nurse said, bowing to her and offering a small smile before walking back inside the school. They had called her from her office to tell her something was wrong and she had to rush here at the last minute. She was met with a pale daughter who was deep in her sleep and her hand clutching her lower stomach. She was given the scare of her life until the nurse said she had gotten better. She knew her daughter was one with extreme period pains, and they’d complained at the hospital but were always told it was nothing serious, but she had never gotten to this extent before. “Mrs Sergio,” she heard the principal call out to her. His voice was distinct, and it made her smile. Tucking her hair at the back of her hair, she turned to face him, her fac
After an hour of napping in the bathroom, she finally came out of it. She was met with a well-laid bed with a brown bedspread and a tampon with new pants. “You’re the best mum.” She muttered to herself, walking closer to the bed also to meet a fresh set of pajamas on it. Wearing them slowly as she can, she spent another thirty minutes dressing up, blow drying her hair and sitting in front of her mirror, checking her reflection. She picked up the eyeliner and was just about to line her eyes when the door opened, turning to look at her mum who had a distraught look on her face, “What are you trying to do?” She said to her, her brows deepening on her face. “Nothing.” Elena replied, covering the lid slowly and putting it back in its place. Clara eyed her before walking inside, in her hand a tray of hot foods for her girl. She placed it in front of her, placing her hand on her hips after as she stared at Elena. “Start eating.”
“A guy?” The lady replied with a cocked brow, straightening the crease on the bed.“Yeah. A bit tall, kind of…“Apart from the female friend that brought you here and your mum checking out after, I’m sorry, but no one came to check on you after that.” She said, looking up at Elena again.“I’m sorry, but is there a problem?” She questioned.“No! Not at all. I’m just curious about it. Thanks.” Elena said, stretching her lips into a thin smile before turning towards the door. Her grip tightened against the arm of her bag, and a different kind of pain spread through her body. She closed the door quietly, walking some inches away before leaning on the wall. What had she expected? That he was going to come and check on her?“Lol.” She scoffed out, closing her eyes to stop the tears that were threatening to spill out of her eyes. She sniffed in, clenching her jaw and unclenching it before opening her eyes. She gasped out in shock as her eyes came to meet a particular one.“You look like a gh
“Sheeesh. You guys should relax.” He added before chuckling, turning to his food and digging back into it.“You guys look like you’ve been caught with something bad and will faint anytime from now on.”The bell rang instantly, and Matthew stood up, picked up his bag, and walked off.“Hey.”He heard them call out to him but decided not to answer. He proceeded to his locker to exchange the book in his bags, his mind going back to what his idiot friend might have want to say. He knew there was something, and he might have just stopped because he wanted to.He left to the class, shaking his head as he walked away. Too many things have been on his mind lately, and he was not even getting the hang of it again. He needed a good sleep or nap.Like always, the first place his eyes went to as he entered the class was Elena’s seat, his brows raised as he saw her talking to the new girl.“Thanks.” Elena said to the girl as she handed her a burger, throwing her a smile before unwrapping it.“It’s
