Chapter 1

"Wake up!!! Wake up, baby sis!!!" a familiar voice said.

I twisted in my bed and covered my face with the blanket not wanting the morning sun rays to spoil my sleep.

"Baby sis, wake up!!!" came the voice again.

"No!!!"I said half asleep.

He chuckled and said again, "You will be late for your college."

"Can't I just skip college for today?"I said without opening my eyes.

"Nope," he said. I know he is smiling.

He sighed and I can feel the bed sink on my left side, it means he is sitting.

"Sorry!!" he said.

I threw the blanket out of my face and sat up on my queen-sized bed confused.

I saw my brother, Travis sitting with his head down and a sad expression on his face.

"Why?"I asked confused.

He looked at me and sighed again and said, "You waited for me till late at night for dinner because I didn't tell you I will be late and that's why you are unable to complete your sleep."

"I don't mind getting up late for my one and only caring brother. And I know I slept on the couch waiting for you so I guess my sweet big brother put me to bed."I said and he smiled.

"Get ready fast. I prepared breakfast today," he said getting up from my bed.

"You prepared breakfast? Why? Where's Maria? How can she let you make breakfast when you came late at night and must be still tired? I am going to..."I was saying angrily when my big bro started laughing. Maria is our housekeeper and cook. She has been with us since the brother was born.

I gave him a puzzled look. He smiled and said, "My baby is really has a temper. It's not her fault. I told her that I am gonna make breakfast for you because you didn't have your dinner because of me last night. And I know you like mine and mom's cooking. Mom isn't here so I get to cook for you. You know I learned to cook so that I can cook for you."

I smiled.

"Now, get ready fast. I am waiting for you at the dining table," he said patting my head and went out.

My brother really loves me a lot, that's why I was not able to leave him and go with mom and dad to London. I just can't leave him alone here.

I got up from my bed when my phone rang.

I quickly answered it without looking knowing who it would be.

"Hello, sweetie!" said the cheerful voice of my mom.

I smiled and said, "Hello, mommy!"

My mom and dad call me every morning so that they hear my voice. They say that hearing my voice makes their day. They really love me a lot especially dad. He was against me staying here because he wanted me to be with him, and because of this dad and bro had a fight. But I choose bro as a dad has a mom with him whereas my sweet brother would be alone.

"How's my baby?" mom asked.

"I am fine, mom. You ask this every day."I said and chuckled.

"Baby!!!" dad said cheerfully.

I chuckled. "Hey, daddy!!!"

"I miss my baby a lot," he said with a sad voice.

"Me too, daddy. I miss you too."I said with tears swimming in my eyes.

"Can't you change your mind and come here," he asked full of hope in his voice.

I took a deep breath and said,

"Daddy, I can't come now. I am going to graduate in a few months. I will think about it after that."

He sighed and said, " Ok, sweetie. Just remember I miss you a lot."

"I know daddy," I said smiling.

"Bye. Love you, princess." mom and dad said together.

"Love you too, "I said hanging up the call.

I smiled and went to get ready. I really miss mom and dad.

I quickly took a shower and got ready. I wore jeans and a cute teen top and went out to the dining table where my brother was waiting for me while reading the newspaper.

"What did you make?"I asked sitting opposite him.

"See yourself." he smiled removing the lid.

"Sandwich!!!!"I beamed.

He chuckled.

I took a bite and said, " You know Vis, your sandwich is the best in the world."

He smiled happily.

"Bro!"I said.

"Yes, Sus." he looked at me.

"Why don't you and Ace move in together. You both are engaged and will be married in a few months?"I said looking at him hoping he will say yes.

Brother and Grace have been engaged for so long but he didn't move in with her nor did he think about marriage till I said that I want Grace not only to be my best friend but also my sister-in-law. And my brother can't deny my wish as I was persistent to not go down with him saying not now, so he agreed that he will marry her after my graduation.

"I can't," he said and shrugged.

"Why?"I asked confused. They both are so much in love with each other but then also haven't moved in together.

"I don't want you to feel that you aren't getting more love than her,"  he said smiling.

"And how her moving in with you will make me feel less loved. I think I will be getting more love as there will be you and Ace to shower all your love on me."I said smiling brightly thinking about all the fun that I can have if Grace moves here.

"You know when you were a kid and if I gave someone else a little attention, you would complain about more attention. I don't want you to feel like that,"  he said smiling remembering the past.

"I was a kid at that time. But, now I am all grown up. I won't mind it. And I know you love me a lot and so does Ace."I said smiling.

"No, you are still a kid," he said smiling.

"No, I am not a kid anymore. I am an adult and about to graduate soon."I said pouting.

"No, you will always be my baby sis no matter how old you get," he said chuckling.

I smiled.

"Let's go. I will drop you to college on my way." he offered.

"No, I am a big girl now so I will drive by myself," I said getting out of my chair.

"No, I am driving you. Let's go," he said getting up.

I sighed. I know he won't back down. "Ok. But only till I graduate. After that, I will not take rides from you."I said pouting.

"Ok, big girl," he said and chuckled.

"I will come to get you after your college hours." my big brother said opening the car door for me.

He treats me like a princess like everyone around me since I was born and doesn't even let me open my car door by myself.

"Yes, big boss, "I said saluting him.

He chuckled and got in the car.

He stayed there till I entered my college entrance and then drive away to the office.

"Hey, Su!!!" my friends Elsa, Molly, and Claire said when they saw me.

Elsa and I met when we were in elementary school. So she knows me very well and knows everything about me.

We both met Molly in junior high and Claire in high school.

We all decided to go to the same college as all our parents have businesses so we were automatically interested in business since our childhood.

"Hey!!"I said on reaching them.

"So, Is Mickey back yet?"Claire asked me.

"Don't call him that only I am allowed to call him by that nickname, " I said irritated.

No offense I love my friends but I don't like anyone else calling Michael by that nickname, it's exclusively for me.

"Wooh...ok ok. I was just teasing you," she said throwing her hands up to surrender while Elsa and Molly were laughing.

"He is going to come today," I said smiling.

"You miss him, don't you?"Elsa asked me.

I looked at her and shook my head. They all think that there is something between me and Mickey, I don't know why they think so.

"I don't."I lied and looked at the three of them. I really miss him a lot. He has been away for a week this time.

They all shook their heads and sighed.

"Lying as always," Molly said.

"You know he likes you, we all saw that at the prom party in high school. But you keep on being the blind girl you are."Claire said.

I stared at them. They keep on bringing this topic every day. I am literally fed up with telling them that there's nothing. Mickey didn't say anything too. We both are only friends but who can convince these dreaming girls.

"Let's change the topic and go to class," I said and started walking towards our first class.

They sighed and started walking too.

"Josh asked me out," Molly said and we all stopped to look at her. Josh is Molly's crush and finally, he asked her out. He is one of the champions of the basketball club.

We all squealed in happiness and hugged her.

"We knew it. We are so happy." we all jumped smiling.

We do this kind of crazy shouting and jumping when we get happy.

Now all my friends have a boyfriend except me. I don't mind it but I too wanted to experience that love they talk about. I too wanted...

"Do you all see Stance coming this way or is that only me?"Claire asked looking in front of us which brought me out of my thoughts.

"We too do,"  Molly said.

"But why is the most famous guy in our college coming this way,"   Elsa said.

"Please add playboy," Claire said rolling her eyes.

He came and stood in front of us.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?"  he said looking at me.

I was about to say something when Claire said, "No. Whatever you have to say,  say it in front of us."

Claire doesn't like him as he is a player and she hates it when a player approaches any of us and at that time she becomes the rude girl.

"Ok. Susan, I wanted to ask you out on a date and wanted to ask you if you will be my girlfriend?" he said and I just stared at him shocked.
