When we got to Becky’s room, she raised her bouquet of flowers to her nose for the 13th time since we walked from Rip. I carefully laid the bags on her bed before unzipping the smaller one that I knew was for Becky. I pulled out the bedazzled pair of jeans before turning toward her with them in my hands. I held them out to Becky, who turned the pants to read the words written on the legs before smiling up at me excitedly.

“It says ‘Daddy’s Princess’!” she gushed.

I nodded. “It sure does. How does that make you feel?”

“Do you really think I’m Daddy Rip’s princess?” she asked.

I nodded again. “I sure do. Do you want to see mine?”

“YEEEEESSSS!” she screamed as she rushed over to the bed.

I unzipped my bag and almost immediately sucked in a breath when I saw the words ‘Daddy’s Queen’ written on my pants in red jewels, while Becky’s was in pink.

“Are you Daddy Rip’s queen, Mama Naomi?” she inquired curiously.

“If he says so, then I must be,” I told her as I pressed my finger into her
