Chapter 2 Do You Want to Be My Baby Suggar?

Two Months Later

Jacob's point of view

After a year of working in my mansion as a result of my pain for the betrayal of my ex-wife, I have decided to return to work from my company, I did not want to be in the house anymore that reminded me of the years lived with her, that, although I loved her and had begged her not to go with another man,  She had broken my heart the moment she formalized her relationship with my cousin.

"Sir, welcome, I'm glad to have you back in the company" Neila, my secretary gave me a warm welcome, but I didn't have time for that, I had to start taking my place.

"Thank you, Neila, but everything must go on, how many interviews do we have today?" I need to fill the assistant management position right away

"We have five interviews sir, the first one is in less than an hour, I have chosen the best candidates for you" Neila smiled at me and I reciprocated, but the smile immediately faded from my lips, when the elevator doors opened and from there, two people I already knew came out.

My ex-wife and her new love, Katherine, was gorgeous, wearing a body-hugging red dress that showed off her curves, her dark wavy hair flowed down her shoulders, and her lips were so red that they would entice any man to kiss. But next to her was the damn bon vivant who damaged my home, Alan Reynolds, my uncle's youngest son, they both walked past me, she looked me up and down, her eyes were two daggers that just destroyed my heart, she didn't even greet me, she just ignored me.

"Sir, are you okay?" Neila asked me as she saw me collapse, I raised my head and sighed.

"Yes, I'm fine" without another word, I went to my office, poured a glass of wine, and sat down, trying to regain my posture; That woman wanted to finish me off, how did she throw away 6 years? A thousand crazy ideas came into my head, I wanted to get even with her, I wanted to conquer a lesser woman and pass her on her face, so that I would never see myself subjected to her feet again, but I was not going to fall in love with someone overnight and even less with someone much less,  I was lost...

"Sir... The first interview has arrived—my secretary came into my office pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Neila, tell him to go on please" she nodded, meanwhile I organized my desk and my face a little, I felt terrible, when the door opened, long legs appeared; A beautiful woman in a dark suit closed the door, the world completely moved at my feet when I realized who it was, my cheeks changed color, and my hands began to tremble.

"Good morning, sir..." Yenna was also paralyzed when she saw me, unlike me, her face turned pale and she tried to turn back, but I managed to stop her.

"Go on please, it's a job interview" she went straight to my desk, her nerves were evident... For a moment the silence frightened us, but it wasn't necessary, we had to act like adults. "Yenna, it's nice to see you again

"Jacob, by the way, I begged fate a lot to put it back on my way, but don't imagine that in this way, but anyway, I have something for you that I forget the day of the crazy night

"For me?" I asked confused, she started to check her purse and took out a small paper bag and handed it to me. — I was surprised to see the content

"Your money, I'm not one of those women who charges for your services, and if it's any consolation, that night nothing happened between you and me" When he said that my head started spinning, I was confused, it was as if I wasn't myself, I was going through the worst of the embarrassments of my life.

"Yenna I'm sorry if I offended you, that wasn't my intention, I..." I just wanted to—

"Don't worry sir, now I have to go, I was coming to a job interview, but my goal changed when I saw it, I have already fulfilled what I was waiting for two months, thank you for your time" Yenna got up determined, I couldn't allow her to leave like that, I went out behind my desk and ran to the door.

"I've finished your job interview Yenna, we need to differentiate the situations," I said as I closed the office door again.

"I never imagined finding him here, you don't know how many times I sent the job application to this company, for you to be the one to interview me, this must be a joke," Yenna looked disappointed.

"Calm down, please!" What happened the other night was a misunderstanding, I had a great time, but we had no contact afterwards

"We didn't have contact because you left that place, leaving me stranded, you didn't give me your number, I don't ask mine, anyway, that doesn't matter anymore, can we start the interview?" — I noticed a little annoyance in his words.

She sat at my desk and from her suitcase she took out a folder with her resume, she didn't have much work experience, but she was in college, her profile didn't apply for any position in the company, much less for what I was needing, an assistant, but she would be the perfect woman to make my ex-wife jealous,  maybe if Katherine saw me happy next to another woman, one as beautiful as Yenna, she would want to go back, with Yenna we had already had contact and although she had denied the intimacy between the two, I was sure that she had already been mine.

I don't know how long I stared at her, imagining the amount of things my ex-wife would feel when she saw me next to Yenna, it could be a contract, one where she would benefit, if she was applying for the position of assistant, I could pay her much more than she was going to earn, just for pretending to be my fake girlfriend.

"Is something wrong, Mr. Reynolds?" Yenna asked me out of my thoughts

"Yenna, I have to talk to you," I blurted out without hesitation

"Talk?" About what Lord? "He treated me with such indifference and respect, as if what happened between the two of us had no value.

"Your profile doesn't apply to be my assistant, but I have a job offer, it's not like telling you, with a much better salary..."

Yenna looked at me completely confused, pulled down the skirt of her suit and cleared her throat.

"Oh, yes?" And what is it about, sir? He asked suspiciously

"I want you to be my lying move, before society I want you to pretend that you are dating me, that we make a contract and in exchange for that I will be your suggardaddy, I will give you everything you ask for, I will please your every whim, and I will pay you ten times what you were going to earn as an assistant" what an imbecile proposal I was making,  he hadn't even made a previous contract, let alone knew Yenna's whims.

The woman stood up and looked at me indignantly, suddenly I felt a strong slap on my cheek, I barely squeezed my eyes shut due to the pain.

"You're confusing me, I know we didn't know each other in the best way Jacob, but I'm not the woman you think, I have principles and values, I've never wanted a man to support me and much less pay me, you're daring

I grabbed her arm preventing her from leaving the office, I broke down in tears, and she stared at me even more confused, I couldn't hide what I was feeling thanks to my ex-wife.

"Listen to me, please," I pleaded, as if it were a matter of life and death, while she let out a huge laugh as she saw me faint.

"Jacob, you're crying again, the day you and I met we didn't do anything, we didn't sleep, we didn't have sex, we just kissed, but you started crying remembering your ex-wife, and finally we fell asleep, why are you asking me this?" Try to calm down, please.

"Yenna, I can't lie to you, I want to summarize my life a little, after having been in control of everything, I lost what I loved the most and I want her to return to my side, maybe if I make her jealous she will decide to come back, please, you are the perfect woman, we will make a contract" desperation was making me touch the deepest of funds,  Yenna's face was a poem.

"Jacob, I can't, I'm so sorry, I can't play this, excuse me, but if I'm sure that any young lady would be happy to be your sugar baby, I can't do it, especially when I know the purpose of your proposal.

I raised my head, took a handkerchief out of my pocket, and wiped away my tears, he looked like an idiot, a man of my profile collapsed by the love of a woman, which was unbelievable.

"Don't give me the answer now, I'll send you all the information about the contract I'm proposing to your email in the next few hours, you have 3 days to analyze it, if you accept, you'll come back with me, shall you?"

"Okay, but I'm telling you again, no! "Yenna left my office, I don't know exactly what I had done, but I needed her to accept my proposal, Katherine wouldn't see me finished again, and I had to be who I was again, a haughty and powerful man, full of life, heartbreak wouldn't end with me, I canceled the next two interviews and delegated that role to someone I trusted,  I took my laptop, and started to draw up the contract for Yenna, she had to be mine.
