Meghan POV

It was two weeks now since I'd left Alec, and it's been too hard! I knew I would be fine at last. Still...it was hard.

"On the plus side," Jade said, "you've not seen the hideous faces of those evil witches in a while now."

Jade Fernandez was my best friend in the whole world, a sweet handsome Italian business man became my friend over four years now, just after I graduated from college. He was such a darling, protecting me and caring for me.

Everyone always thought we would end up together. But we were just friends. He never showed why signs he might like me in that manner at all.

A slight smile formed on my face. "You're right." We sat for hours, just ranting about life in general.

My grandpa walked in, that old man never knocked on my door! "There's someone I'd love you to meet, my dear." He announced.

Jade jumped up. "Grandpa. I asked about you but you weren't around earlier and--"

"--that's enough. I don't want to hear." He replied dryly. Jade was only smiling by now.

"Grandpa, you're not still mad at Jade for not ordering for two soup bowls the other night, are you?" I said, and the expression on his face was funny to make me laugh.

"He knows how much I loved the soups from that restaurant!" Grandpa cried out.

"I won't ever make that mistake again!. I'm sorry grandpa." Jade said, apologizing.

I just smiled and watched the two of them act like kids..

"Come on out, he's here now." Grandpa said again and I was just forced to head downstairs with him. I had my long brown hair tied up in a bun, and since I was home that day, my face was free of makeup other than my cherry lipgloss.

"Who's he asking you to meet?" Jade whispered to me on our way downstairs.

I shrugged. "I'm not so sure. He just said someone important to him," I confessed.

Once downstairs, there as a tall man with his back facing us. He wore a cooperate outfit, and just from his back posture, I was surprise how much he appeared so handsome.

Jade was handsome too, with his pale brown eyes and curly hairstyle seemed to look so amazing on him, but this man looked like he'd been sculpted. When he turned his face towards us, my lips parted softly at how much he looked...sexy!

His eyes lingered on me for a while, a soft smile appearing on his face. I was melting on the inside.

My grandpa took the lead, "my dear, this is Adrian Smith, my godson. And a big investor in our firm." He said.

"Ohh he's the one you're always talking about so dearly?" I was forced to say. Grandpa always talked about a mysterious investor, just around the second year I got married to Alec. This man invested a lot in our company and started to win my grandpa's heart.

"Hello," he said, his voice deep and charming. "It's nice to finally meet you." He said, a sweet smile resting in his eyes as he advanced forward to stretch a hand to me.

I shook his hand, that huge palm covering my tiny delicate hand. It was brief, but I loved the warmth that came with it..I was grinning like a fool now.

"Um...hi. It's an honor to meet you as well." I managed to say, hoping the excitement in my eyes wasn't too obvious.

Grandpa was smiling now at the connection we exchanged. "Guess what? He's here to invite us to his birthday party this Saturday. Isn't that right, Adrian?" Grandpa threw the question to him. And he took so much pleasure in responding to it.

"Yes. It's a little celebration at the Greenhouse hotel, just to glorify the bond that have been shared between Mr. Price. As well as our new partnership." He said proudly.

Our companies were going for a partnership program that would last three months. We both owned retail companies that sell groceries at cheaper rate to consumers, but Adrian's business was three times bigger and popular than ours, so this partnership program was a huge source of promotion for us.

"That's so sweet." I said. It still surprised me I had never seen this man before, but I was clearly getting interested in him.

"Hello, Jade here too." Jade said and we all laughed.

"Of course, good afternoon Mr Jade." Adrian said."You're very much invited as well!"

"Oh that's awesome." Jade said with a smile.

"Will you be staying with us for dinner?" Grandpa asked him.

"Actually, I was in a bit of a hurry earlier..."

"Aww so you won't join us for dinner? I'll cook!" I chirped in. My grandpa looked at me and an impressive smile appeared on his face. We had been inseparable since forever. And I knew him persuading Adrian for dinner was to strengthen our bond.

He chuckled, "Wow. Okay then..but I can't stay for too long." Finally, he said.

Instantly, we began to make preparation plans. Well, mostly me. Jade would boil water for tea, and it would still taste bad.

I gathered some of the assistant we had at home and we all made meal preparation for that evening. Soon, we were gathered on the dining table.

"Wow. This is really delicious!" Adrian complimented.

Jade's nose flared, "This? I think it's a bit salty."

"Ignore him." I said, brushing it off. "Did I mention that jade is my friend but also a big bully?"

He acted cool, shrugging as he stuffed his mouth again. "I'm just really great at telling the truth. That's all."

"Yes. He's a big bully!" Grandpa instantly agreed.

Jade groaned. "I said I'm sorry, grandpa. I ordered two bowls of soup afterwards but you didn't eat it!"

"Plit twist, he did. He's just too stubborn to admit it." I said, giggling as grandpa's eyes widened when he stared at me in shock for exposing him.

Amidst the laughter and all, Adrian wanted to feel along too. "This is such a good way to relax. It's always just boring being the only one at home with no one to party with like this."

His comment quickly dimmed the jovial mood in the air. It was known to me that Adrian was an orphan just like me...but at least, I had grandpa.

Then, grandpa decided to ruin things...!

"You're the one who's still insisting on being single. My daughter is single now, so why don't you two hit up?"

Hit up?

"Grandpa?!" I scolded.

Even Adrian looked shocked.

"Oh, I'm so embarrassed right now. Just ignore him. Really!" I said, trying to defend myself.

To my surprise, Adrian's response caught me off guard.."That's not such a bad idea. I'd love to take you out sometime. That is...if you'd allow that too?"

  • Mr. Billionaire, It's Over!   Wanna Try?

Meghan's POV "Meghan wait up right now!" Alec's tone was deafening, threatening maybe. How was it that I still found myself falling for this man? Wasn't it clear already that he didn't love me? Or at the very least, he was confused. "You're raising your voice like an uncivilized human. Everyone's looking." I made my tone stern. He paused, then smiled to himself. "This is funny, you know? I want to reset everything right now. From the time you packed your things to leave, when you started to dare me." "Okay, go on," I rolled my eyes. "I'm giving you till tonight to move back. Otherwise, you've made an enemy with the Andersons." He threatened. "You're so stupid you dunno what's about to hit you. But I can save you," Anger filled me now as I continued to listen to his trash. I made it a mental note right that instant not to depend on any man again. I would ace my training and accept support from Adrian, but won't depend on him. Or anyone else again. "Go to hell, Alec." I w

  • Mr. Billionaire, It's Over!   Introduction.

Alec's POV. I was late. No matter how hard I tried, I was always late. The class had started minutes ago, but luckily for me, it was just a casual introduction going on. Silence filled the room as I stepped inside, all eyes fell on me. There was a tall man who was in front, addressing everyone. "Oh at last, you've managed to join us, my name is Philip Banks. What about you?" "Alec. Alec Anderson." I said, while searching around for a seat to take. Everyone were seated in twos, so there was barely a seat that hadn't been filled up already. Then...she raised her hand up and smiled. "This seat is free, come sit here." I couldn't believe my eyes. Meghan? "Welcome Mr Alec, present CEO of Dexton Enterprise. You'd have to come up with the explanation of how you came up with that name. I heard the theory was interesting." Said Philip. I guess I was angry that she even kept a seat for me. After our last conversation, she clearly made me feel so low about myself! Now she was

  • Mr. Billionaire, It's Over!   Goodbye, Again?

Meghan's POV I stepped into the building, my heart racing a little. This training would make me end up in an unnecessary reunion with an old college arrogant brat, Paulina Shay, who was now a proud successful CEO of a small firm, it was doing so well she gained fame while she made advertisement.Paulina always looked down on me, and had a gift with making everyone hated me even without knowing me yet. I was saved in my final years because she suddenly got transferred to another school, only lord knew what happened.Besides people like Paulina, there would be other bullies too, I just knew that. I was accompanied by Martins, Jade's driver and sometimes his PA. "It's this way miss." He said, when I started heading the wrong way."Of course. Thanks." I swallowed, admiring how marvelous the building truly was. It was an opportunity just being part of this training. "Before we gather all trainees, Mr Jade would like to see you privately." I nodded and followed him to Jade's office. He

  • Mr. Billionaire, It's Over!   Mine Again

Alec's POV I tried to be good, but I clearly wasn't. Our last conversation had been torturing enough, and now I see her in my dreams too? She was making the bed and smiling as she sighted me. "Remember our first night together? It was magnificent!" She said, then wiggled her index finger for me to come closer. As I get closer, a loud wreck fell and stood in between us. A wreck, like a wall, falling inside the room?! Wasn't that a sad depiction of our current relationship? She had sent a reminder email of when we would be going to the court to finalize our divorce. I didn't like losing...but worse, I didn't like living alone. Now, my mom and Bella never visit. It was always just the maids and I, in the big apartment. Everything reminds me that she's no longer with me. I didn't think it would hurt this much! I heaved in, arranging the clusters of papers that rested on my table. My secretary came in, "Um sir, you have a call from Mr Anderson." I rolled my eyes. He had my

  • Mr. Billionaire, It's Over!   A Mess I Created.

Jade's family were a mess! Much worse than Lolita and Bella could ever be. And at least, Alec dad was nicer. Jade's family were wide, but they all were the same. Right from his abuela down to his cousins. They were brats, a proud household wealthy and rich that they could never ever grow broke. Even their youngest one around four months old was already a billionaire! "Jade is risking so much just by being your friend. Imagine what would happen if they found out you were dating? Whatever is going on between you two, terminate it as quickly as possible. Adrian is kind and soft, and has always loved you no matter how he denied it." After he left, leaving me alone as I headed to the rest room, I clearly believed what grandpa had been talking about. Life was so unfair. Jade was so calm and good but was born into such family. Alec too, was mostly influenced by his mother and sister, believed whatever they said over me. I was heading back to the party because it was hosted outside his m

  • Mr. Billionaire, It's Over!   Hidden Truth

Meghan's POV "He wants to get married soon, let's hope you're the one he settles down with." He added. Jade winced. I made a mental note to meet him and ask why he acted grumpy whenever Adrian was being mentioned! At the party, Adrian walked over to us as he heard of our arrival. He wore a fine suit and maintained a nice smile. "You made it, Mr Price." He then turned to me and reached for my hand, kissing it gently, "Meghan," our eyes lingered for a moment before he let go of my hand. "And you, Mr. Jade. I see you made it too." Jade smiled, although it didn't reach his eyes. "I accompanied Meghan. We go to most places together." "That's a little creepy, considering that she's a full grown adult who can take care of herself. Then again, maybe it's nice to see you playing the big brother role." Adrian said, smiling as Jade gritted his teeth. I stepped forward to intercept, "please let's all find somewhere to sit. I'm starving." I said, and it worked. "Of course, right t
