"Thank you all for being here. As you know, Mike's departure leaves a void, and we need to address the restructuring of key positions in the company," Mr. Hill began, his steely gaze meeting each person in the room.

Jonathan, itching for a promotion, seized the opportunity. "I believe my experience and dedication make me a suitable candidate for the COO position, sir."

Delacy, cool and composed, countered, "While Jonathan is undoubtedly talented, perhaps we should take a moment to assess our current needs before rushing into such a critical decision."

The conversation shifted as they delved into the company's operations, finances, and responsibilities that came with the COO role.
